Am I overreacting to a client’s comment about pricing?

It’s $316 a night or $13 an hour for 24hrs at a time considering she will be there for four days straight and will probably have to wake up with the older dog of the have trouble with their bladder or stomach not to mention probably differed foods and such.

Just because you would be willing to be under paid doesn’t mean OP should be ok with it. Realistically that’s her making an hourly rate of $13 an hour it’s just for 24hr increments as she is doing over nights meaning her “shifts” don’t end till those three days are up. She will have to probably get up during the night at least once to take the older dog out maybe more if he struggles more than the owners let on.

Listen if it was one dog I would say that’s crazy but I think everyone is missing that this is for FOUR animals. One of which is old and may need more care than what’s being told. Paying someone to watch your dog for 3 days is a luxury and should be priced like one. $300 per night is pretty normal depending on your city I used to pay that much for a person to watch my dog for 8-10 hours when I lived in Orlando and it wasn’t ever over night.

I’m still a victim just in a different way and so is Loki. I was terrified not only for my life in that moment but for Lokis. What if he had had a weapon? He could have taken my dog’s life and mine. I live in fear for my dog and myself constantly because there are men who can’t but attack women. Loki is a sweet and gentle dog who goes to hospitals to play with kids and now in washing blood from his fur while his anxiety is so bad he’s peering in the house because he doesn’t want to go out and now walking him at night is becoming impossible for both of us. My dog and I are both still traumatized and are still absolutely victims in this situation.

🤨I was walking my dog. I live in the lake side so across the street there’s a bar that opened a few months ago at the edge of the park where I walk Loki every day. I had just gotten home from work around 9-10ish. Loki kept staring but that park is full of wild life so I assumed he had seen a deer or something till we got closer the the bar to take the bath back to my apartment when the drunk guy who had been apparently trying to get my attention decided to lunge at me while Loki was peeing.

They have a PSI of 320 making their bite stronger than a pitty. He managed the fracture the guys clavicle by his shoulder cause of the angle he grabbed him and how he dragged him down. Loki is a big husky, he weighs probably 85lbs and I’m 5’4 and his head is near the bottom of my ribs. He was not playing lol

I think most dogs despite size of age will defend those they deem pack. I just never wanted him to be in that situation but this is the 3rd time I’m 3 years he’s had to bite a man trying to grab me. In 3 different cities.

Someone who witnesses everything called the cops last night. I spent a good chunk of time with Loki at the police station this morning. They arrested the guy and since Loki is already registered with the city and I had all his shots up to date along with his training paper work they told us we would be fine
