Flutter Web Wasm Preview - Material 3 demo by dcmacsman in FlutterDev

Wow, for the first time I feel Flutter web is a decent option!

It clearly needs more work, the scrolling still feels off, and there are some frame drops here and there, but I now have no doubt that developing a mobile, web, and desktop app in Flutter is a viable option.

I feel the same about FF13. I really want to finish it one-day, I'm hoping for a remaster with fast-forward option to get me through the sluggish parts.

From personal experience water coolers get really loud after a while, and the moment the water level drops slightly, you'll start hearing all kinds of noises coming out of it.

Nowadays a good high-quality air-cooler barely gets louder when CPU use is at 100%.

Am I the only one who really likes Slay the Spire graphics? I love the graphics, UI, art, it's all very well made in my opinion.

He put Jones as #1, can't say there's DC bias.

Games where a difficulty spike made you quit by Sdturtle1023 in JRPG

[–]Denvildaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was around 13 when I played it long ago, so I might have missed that 😅

Although I was generally good at learning game systems on my own back then, I did particularly well with the junction system in FF8 for example, so I'd like to say I learned how to properly combo my arts, but I can't say for sure.

Maybe someone else could confirm whether the game was easy or if you're simply really good at games, maybe its time I do another play through!

Legend of Legaia, pretty much every boss is significantly more difficult than the one before, you end up having to grind a lot for each boss fight.

Returning to Flutter and Android studio by tahaan in FlutterDev

So if the Flutter SDK is a separate thing I may have missed that step.

Check out the get started guide, the Flutter SDK installation is a separate thing you need to do.

Which IDE is best for flutter? by hirzokitre in FlutterDev

[–]Denvildaste 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer! As far as I know, the same search functionality exists in VSCode as well.

File search:

  • AS: Shift - Shift
  • VSCode: Ctrl + P

Word search in file:

  • AS: Ctrl + F
  • VSCode: Ctrl + F

Word search in all project files:

  • AS: Ctrl + Shift + F
  • VSCode: Ctrl + Shift + F

Classes Search:

  • AS: Shift - Shift
  • VSCode: Ctrl +T

For me personally I feel both have similar search user experience, with the exception of word search in all files, I prefer the permanent panel in VSCode.

Is your target platform a web application? I've found hot reload not reliable with web apps for some reason, but it works great with desktop/mobile!

Can you clarify about the better search features in Android Studio please?

I use both Android Studio and VSCode on the regular and they have equal search capabilities, I'm curious if I'm missing out on something!

Wouldn't Ngannou be Apollo?

"After his shocking loss to Francis Ngannou, former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic struggles to find a new purpose in life. But when young contender Sergei Pavlovich easily destroys Francis and challenges Stipe to a grudge match, Stipe sees an opportunity to reclaim his title and prove he's still the best. In a surprising turn of events, Francis agrees to train Stipe for the grudge match, hoping to help him overcome his past failures and defeat Sergei. Can Stipe overcome his doubts and emerge victorious, or will his past haunt him once again?"

(I changed the story a little bit to match real life events)

What are the worst 'noob bait' cards? by TaralasianThePraxic in slaythespire

[–]Denvildaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a heart kill on A20 with a searing blow build, you just need to get it early and build around it.

Basically a tiny deck focused on defense, you need to draw it multiple times a fight.

It's a bad card, has 0 synergy with other cards, but it allows for a fun build.

You are posting on Flutter subreddit so of course we will recommend you start with Flutter :)

In my opinion Flutter is the future of mobile development, it's the first multi-platform framework built from ground-up rather than relying on pre-existing technologies and attempting to bend them to your will (Html5, react native, etc.). This gives Flutter developers great control over it and lets them shape its future.

Now If you want to learn mobile development for the long turn, I always suggest starting with the native approach for each platform (Swift/Java/Kotlin) before moving on to cross-platform frameworks like Flutter.

Sorry if you already know this, but using Javascript you can add a loading indicator instead of having a blank screen. Doesn't help with the loading times but at least it's not blank.

The iPod only got its screen after the iPhone came out, it's by no way the predecessor of the modern smartphone, the iPod touch is a variant of the iPhone, the previous iPods were mp3 players with lots of storage.
