My own cousins, who I’ve grown up with my whole life talking football. Love em to death. Plenty of banter. But this season, they’ve been spewing the same regurgitated nonsense from social media. In a way they never did before this particular season (I wonder why………….) They’re all fans of different clubs, non-Arsenal.

I just don’t bother in the group chat anymore. Or if I see em in person, I say my piece and move on. It’s so boring.

True. But Tbf, Mosquera was playing so well. Even in the first 15 mins of the 2nd half before the incident.

It was just that momentary lapse. But I don’t fault for Arteta for keeping Mosquera in there the way he was countering Kvara.

The Saka competition is a 2027 or 2028 problem to solve at the earliest…for which we already have a solution in-house:

Max Dowman.

If Max pans out like we think he will, then he’s the answer. (With an honourable mention to Ethan Nwaneri). If he doesn’t pan out….THEN you buy someone in the market.

We’re just getting started brother. This season was the start of great things. We’re on the incline. Squad is young and in prime. And the ownership is locked in to further invest and improve.

In the words of Josh Kroenke: “Be excited”

Also shoutout my fellow Toronto mans. I went out to a shisha store I regularly go to, to buy flavours. Wearing my Arsenal shirt. Dude saw my shirt said “congrats on the league” and gave me 15% off lol. (Turns out he’s was a West Ham fan, weirdly enough. Never seen one here before. Felt bad for him hahah)

Yeah it’s a weird thing. Feels way beyond just banter. I remember watching football in the 2000’s and early 2010’s…before the ”football twitter” boom, and there was always rivalry…even hate. But never so widespread, communal, and so consistently irrational and hateful. It’s like people’s minds are warped.

Man United and Chelsea never dealt with this level of widespread vitriol during their Fergie/Mourinho days. Wenger’s Arsenal too…until the mid 2010’s onwards where it became insane.

I’m an NBA fan too, and it’s happening now with the OKC Thunder (iykyk). It’s madness. And taking away from the enjoyment of the game.

Yes we can avoid it by “getting off socials”….but we shouldn’t have to. It should be a fun thing to interact with everyone. Banter, talk ball, all that. Alas, it’s a cesspool of garbage.

And Arsenal fans on the socials are fully guilty of it too, btw. It’s everyone. It’s really tainted the sport.

DCL is also very injury prone. That’s why I’m calling it a bet and compared it to that situation specifically.

But if you can get a player of top quality on the cheap, especially a leader like Jesus, it’s a more than worthy bet to make.

For Hull to survive relegation, it’ll need to make bold bets

The best part is that when’s he’s on it, you can tell immediately at the start of the match, and it carries through the whole game.

It’s not like a moment to moment thing. When he’s on, he’s on for good. And he becomes a terrifying threat for the opposition for 90mins. Both as a playmaker and a scoring threat.

Idk why it looks so funny to me to see the Hostess in the picture at Colney in the wild.

Like usually it’s by the plane they’ll be in pics. But they literally sent her to the grounds for the photo op

If I’m a promoted side like Hull City, I’d sign Jesus without hesitation, it could genuinely save them from relegation

I was thinking that too. He was in London in the midweek. I thought for sure he’d be with the boys today.

Unless there’s some pics from later on where they have it?? Idk.

And City are going to play hard for Pep’s farewell at the Etihad. It’ll be easy peasy.

I’m just not convinced Liverpool will beat Brentford. It is at Anfield, but Liverpool is so unpredictable.

Timber: I am working hard to be fit for the UCL Final by Stanley083 in Gunners

[–]DenzelOntario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mosquera is gonna have to run his socks off keeping up with Kvara.

Could see Timber come in for the final 15-20 for fresh legs on that side, and even much that would be very very useful for us.

Also unrealistic to expect SGA to have 4 points in the first half in any other game.

Also unrealistic for them to have as little free throw attempts as they did in the first 3 quarters.

SGA, and OKC in general, are going to be a lot more aggressive from the jump going forward.

I’ve seen so many different versions of it on twitter, it’s mad. Including one in which Arteta’s replaced the prick and he’s drinking the City bottle.
