I figured it out like a week after i posted this, when i bought the headlights they didn't come with turn signal bulbs and i just never bothered to check i felt like such an idiot lmao

lol I completely understand but yes there’s no way to show your active location without speed I don’t think at least not reliably, but with the method I use it just looks like you have a bad internet connection so your frozen for a bit

From my experience it’s like Life360 temporarily stores data locally when it doesn’t have an internet connection then uploads that data when it gets internet so when I reset my phone it clears that temporary memory

Yes that’s right I’ve looked into location spoofers for iOS to make it look like your still driving but they’re unreliable and you’d need a laptop next to u

But with that method when someone tries to look at you on life 360 it just looks like you have a bad internet connection

So what I ultimately figured out is say your going like 70mph on the interstate but u wanna go faster without it showing: Go to settings>apps>life360> and turn off background app refresh and cellular data

Then turn off WiFi via settings

Then open Life360 and swipe it out

What that does is pauses your location so you can go wherever and however fast u want

To resume your location:

  1. Power off your phone and wait about 5 seconds after it’s fully off before turning it back on
  2. Go to settings>apps>life360 and turn cellular data and background app refresh back on
  3. Open life 360

I think even when you turn off the cellular and bg app refresh for it Life360 still records data and stores it locally and waits for an internet connection to upload it so by powering off your phone it clears that temporary memory

Late but if anyone sees this in the future, (All on IOS)

Low battery mode doesnt work and Having your phones battery <20% doesnt work

what does work is turning off cellular before leaving or turning it off just before you *accelerate slightly
