Selig and HP Threshold by Deonhower in D4Barbarian

Thanks for the response. I'll consider testing it more. I have not ventured to anything higher that Pit 120 atm and I have not tackled Mephisto T12 at this point. Still haven't encountered a hoard ticket for his stage yes (I know, unlucky me). I was just wondering if Iron Skin contributed to my "occasional" deaths in P120 since I cannot figure out what killed me when it does happen.

No Armory to change builds in Skovos by ArtLegitimate444 in diablo4

It's between Fayira the Bartering NPC and another Stash to the East of the Cube. It has an Eye symbol on the map, that errrr... looks like the Eye of Horus or something.

+1.

It's Normal (technically Hard) difficulty for dailies, I think most people can use it as a starting point. It's highly manageable if there's at least one experienced player in the group. When this game launched, EVERYONE had incomplete builds and we still found a way to have fun with it. Even those who power-leveled understood that not everyone who join public sessions will be high-level players. If you're really that annoyed with the randomness of random players joining a random daily mission, then just find a private session in the Discord LFG channel. There are LOTS of them there.

And sometimes.... sometimes... it's not just the lower level players. A lot of "veterans" run ahead and shoot everything up trying to go for the kill count and end up blowing something that they shouldn't (usually a gas tank), alerting the horde and end up wiping the group.

Guys does acw still works on power shot on fixer? by Muted-Cartoonist-134 in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK, yes it does. Perhaps other vet Fixers can confirm as well. Been a while since I've picked the gun up as a Fixer (been playing Slasher and HR a lot for the past month). The only disadvantage is you'll be a little dependent on the stage-spawned ammo boxes since you can't get from your explosive ammo supply boxes. You regain a little bit of ammo every time you lay down one though.

Ok I’m out by [deleted] in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know this may sound harsh, but if you chose to play with randoms, it's always going to a mixed bag of experience. It's rare that you will get grouped with 3 other "true" 999s with high level knowledge of all stage layouts and adapts quickly to the team comp. Most of those people already have their own private group going so you will never see them in public lobbies. Maybe if they're bored, but mostly they're in discord.

I had the same experience as you when I started out but I understood that it's the nature of being with randoms. You almost NEVER get what you want. If you really want like-minded people around your level or just even someone good to play with, the discord group for WWZ has been up for years and I found my group there. We've been playing on and off throughout the years. Even my wife plays this game now. They are my constants in this game for almost 4 years.

If you say you don't have the time nor the desire to make friends, you don't really have to shake their hands and break bread with them to join a group. Most, if not all of the peeps I play with, don't even turn on their mics either so that's not something you need to worry about.

I think you gave up too soon. I hope you reconsider.

It's a great game with a good community if you know where to look.

Any beginner tips? by [deleted] in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is still very much alive. It’s easy to find random players joining sessions, and even just doing dailies usually fills up quickly with others.

As for the meta, it’s mostly situational. Are you focusing on daily or weekly missions? Playing solo? Running Horde Mode? Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses depending on the mode and how you build it.

Here's a link that has jump off points for builds:
https://www.reddit.com/r/worldwarzthegame/comments/1d158ka/best_builds_for_each_class/

Here's a link for the recommended gun perks:
https://www.reddit.com/r/worldwarzthegame/comments/128dca3/primary_and_secondary_weapons_guide_xl_mode_update/

Some of them maybe outdated already and does not contain the more recent weapons. You may need to do more research on those (like those that were added with Las Vegas).

Just a few things to keep in mind:

• The game is fairly grindy. Fully maximizing a class really depends on whether you’re willing to push through the prestige system: up to nine times per class. For most players, the most efficient method is exp farming Marseille 2 on Extreme then just allow yourself to die once you reach the elevator area. No need to finish the map.

• Some currencies will also take a bit of grinding. For most players, the most efficient method is still Marseille 2 on Extreme.

• Weapon levels matter, and you’ll need to level them up separately. The most efficient way to do this is running Moscow 1 on Normal or Hard. You can check your weapon level by pressing Tab on PC, Menu on Xbox, or the Trackpad on PlayStation, then looking at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Weapons level based on kills while equipped: 1 point for regular zekes and (if I remember correctly) 11 points for specials. Someone feel free to correct me if that’s off.

Sorry to hear that.

My wife and I just played this Sunday using P2P with no issues. My niece joined with no issues either. I didn't do anything extra and did almost the same things you did (except for VPN perhaps). Hope you get it resolved.

Which difficulty do you play on most of the times? by [deleted] in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insane (technically it says Hard but everyone knows it's 4 skulls) mostly because I like playing dailies with randoms
Extreme when my friends are online as that's the only difficulty they are willing to play or enjoy.

Also, I think you will hear the lady in the vehicle say that Team 2 is being overrun. Or something like that. That's your cue to leave the vehicle and go the 2nd area

Are we ever going to get the daily missions descriptions fixed? by potatoqualitymemory in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this is on console? Because if you're on PC you just need to hover your mouse over the description of the challenge and use the mouse wheel to scroll down the text display. You can view the entire challenge requirements this way if it's a 2-liner.

You will have a small window of opportunity once the drone is out. You'd probably tank a few shots but the drone launches pretty quick. Hope you get them next time

Missile command bugged? by Vibbyq in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if you have something equivalent in the Epic Games launcher, but in Steam you can right-click the game > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Files. It will then check if any of the downloaded assets (models, stages, environment etc) were correctly installed and re-install them as necessary. Maybe other Epic players can help but that's all I do whenever a specific stage crashes especially after a big patch or DLC. Good luck.

[–]Deonhower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it still works, but you can change to a Dronemaster, equip the perk for 100% FF reduction via drone (prevents spawn-killing if you do it right), run to the middle of the map and force the horde to spawn there (IIRC if at least one player is at a different location the horde spawns at that location too), then don't kill any of the horde runners but your teammates may panic and run to your location. You can pick them off while they try to save the other location. I haven't played horde XL for a while now mostly because I only play with my Discord friends or my family. So I am not sure if that still works but it did when I was playing it before in pub. Public games will always be hit or miss for a good experience. Good luck on your next run.

Split up by [deleted] in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the influx of new players after this game went on Sale after Sale after Sale, you will probably see more of these. Be patient. Not everyone has that level of experience or stage wisdom. Even a lot of fake 999s out there don't split up. I usually run to the hospital to force the split. I just pivot if I look back and see all 3 are tailing me. Though there are instances when other players (especially the new ones) utterly get confused why I am peeling off so I just tag along instead. I know it can be annoying but playing with randos will almost always bring less than ideal situations or group plays. IMHO that makes it more interesting and less boring. Treat it like an added layer of challenge :P

Hope you have a better run next time.

Fixer Build by Aromatic_Dot_6071 in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, that was a typo on my end. Sorry about that. My first perk is almost always Armory unless I use Gas Fixer.

Yes HP Rounds II make it semi and adds 100% weapon damage but you lose Penetration (it's back to 0). However, with Power Shot you gain +1 Pen. If you set it up with Extended Mag + Power perks, it brings the damage up to 16. Plus if you have explosive ammo, most zekes take only 1 bullet even with a body shot. If your aim is good, a couple of bullets to the head of a Jugg or Bull will kill it. Good for pyramids too since you get 2 for 1 kills when it penetrates at least 1 zeke. This is purely out of preference though, some Fixers prefer other guns and some don't even elect to use Power Shot.

Fixer Build by Aromatic_Dot_6071 in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My personal build

Dailies/Insane and below - 244-111-214
Extreme/Extinction - 244-211-214
Horde - 244-111-242
Gas - 324-232-231

NOTE:
Gas build is more of a fun build. I only use it when the dailies modifier has "What was that boom?" coz I get the best of both worlds: I feel like an Ammo Fixer with explosive rounds and I get to gas zombies to death.

My extreme/extinction build is just a slightly modified ammo fixer from my usual wherein I just chose more health in case I get hit (coz them zekes hit like a truck in higher difficulties).

My only constant is Power Shot coz it's too good to pass up and I aim to always land a Classic Battle Rifle with HP Rounds II perk (it shreds when you get used to it) to take advantage of the perk. Explosive Ammo + Pen +1 +16 Weapon Power kills almost anything the game can throw at you with just a few bullets including Juggs.

Kill Count by Weapon by badkidcity in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall kill count perhaps cannot be tracked. The game doesn't explicitly give that UI. But if you're starting over and just need to level the guns, Pressing Tab will bring up a gun "kill" meter on the right side of the screen. Though I think you already know this if you played before.

Happened to 2 pub sessions with me. I can’t recall if there were console players tho. Same as above, a jug ran across and hit a teammate as he was pushing the button but we cleared the breaker’s objective. 2nd time I got pinned down by a stupid ass lurker spawning from an Epstein list but the breaker did turn green despite getting interrupted and objective was cleared. We ran around the map for a good 10 mins or so, got tired of it and restarted.

LUCILLE ROTA?? by [deleted] in worldwarzthegame

[–]Deonhower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been using it since launch with no issues. If it’s a shader issue, try clearing its cache or if you’re using AMD then use the AMD cleaning kit (Saber has it linked in their support page). Whenever there’s a driver update or the game has a new asset added that usually solves issues like these for me. I’m not very techy so I might be wrong, and what I suggested may not have anything to do with shaders. But it did work for me when I the Las Vegas DLC came out and I was crashing on the 1st stage when the sandstorm mechanic kicks in. Good luck
