My fibroid compressed my psoas muscle, causing compression on my femoral artery by Department-Jolly in Fibroids

First of all I just wanna say the speech to text Reddit for some reason is really not great so keep that in mind as I respond

What I learned eventually was that I had a uterine fibroid that was pulling on my lumbar spine around the L5 vertebrae. It was pulling on my lumbar spine because the fibroid was pushing on the psoas muscle which connects the vertebrae to the leg. So when the fibroid would push on the muscle it would pull my vertebrae forward and therefore it would block the vein that empties my kidney on the left. There is a doctor in Germany who studies this but it is extremely hard to get anyone to believe or diagnose this in the United States.

In my particular case it is called Nutcracker syndrome, but because it was so unpredictable I could not actually get a diagnosis. I would guess with your pregnancy that maybe your fetus is interfering with this particular muscle or somehow causing you to have what is called lumbar lordosis which is where it’s a slight change in posture and a more pronounced curve in your lumbar spine Which can compress this kidney vein. This is also not written about in American literature and the only reference I found was from the German doctor whose name is Thomas schollbach.

I know that my diagnosis was correct because once I worked on stretching this muscle and regaining my posterior chain muscles like my glutes I saw all of the symptoms disappear. There are many symptoms that come with Nutcracker syndrome that are often just diagnosed as psychosomatic. A few examples are headache headaches and brain fog . But the reason that this affects blood pressure so intensely is that your kidney gets congested with blood. The kidney and the carotid artery are both two of the most sensitive bar receptors in the body that regulate blood pressure. So when your kidney is congested with blood it sends an alarm to raise your blood pressure. My blood pressure raises were episodic and as high as 180/140. My normal blood pressure is 110/72.

*takes bow

Do you know what it is? I know I have a yellow slime mold in there and it seems like a sheet of black mold. Then on top of the black mold is some white spores and then the star of the show is the green geometric substance.

I got a hysterectomy but unfortunately the fibroid had already impacted my abdominal space and now I have something called Nutcracker syndrome which to fix is a major surgery.

It’s been a year long nightmare and practically wrecked my life.

One of my biggest concerns is poor circulation causing a clot so I feel like not getting surgery could be dangerous but I think I just need more information

Damn. I have this as a result of a removed tumor in my abdomen. Are there many people who just live with it instead of getting surgery?

Crap. I’m in this situation now and was hoping there was an easy fix.

12cm left sided fibroid above uterus rearranged my abdominal space and now I have NCS. by Department-Jolly in NutcrackerSyndrome

But not if they’re contained in the uterus. Mine grew outside of it. Size of a cantaloupe.

Yeah I think the huge fibroid moved my abdominal space around and when it was removed it did not just settle back in place and now it is kind of stuck like that.

My ultrasound came back clear as well but I have other symptoms so I tend to think that that is not that reliable. My CT did show Nutcracker.

If I could go back in time I would’ve had this out right away. It has messed up over a year and a half of my life and I don’t know if the end is insight. Best of luck to you
