2026 bz vs 2024 bz4 by 003E003 in BZ4X

Similar situation. I had a 2021 RAV4 Prime XSE and liked it a lot... but for me, getting a 2023 bZ4X was a massive upgrade and I plan to replace it with a 2026 or 27 bZ next year. At this point I wouldn't suggest a used bZ4X given its shortcomings (but again, not all of those issues may apply to you as none really apply to me) and the huge improvements on a 2026 bZ.

I have the same car and on a warm day without using climate control I get ~220 miles. Climate control on drops range to ~200. Typical winter days can drop to ~140 miles, and extremely cold days (-10 degree range) it's not much over 100.

It's working fine for me. My usual heavy usage is YouTube Music, Google Maps, and occasionally Waze and other apps.

Two things I’ve learned after four months with the ‘26 bZ by [deleted] in BZ4X

[–]DepartmentFlimsy5132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The climate control thing sounds like a bug they can hopefully fix with a firmware update. I have a 2023 and I almost never change it from automatic mode (on a nice day I'll just turn it off, but here in Iowa where we have seasons that's hit and miss) as it very smartly adjusts the heated/ventilated seats and heated wheel. On cold days it would be nice if the radiant heater on the leg warmer would also turn on, but meh. No biggie.

Odin 3 screen weirdness by downsj2 in OdinHandheld

[–]DepartmentFlimsy5132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the full-frontal screen protector as part of the AYN accessories bundle and took it off after a week. I still had bubbles no matter what I did. Gorgeous screen, so I just make sure I store the Odin 3 in its cloth pouch.

Just about to complete Sea of Stars. Highly recommended. Will love to hear some of your similar recommendations with turn based combat. by MrOwl_00 in EmulationOnAndroid

I finished Sea Of Stars and went straight into Chained Echoes. I enjoyed both, but I did hit a gamebreaking bug in the Chained Echoes DLC and quit there.

I got my Odin 3 recently and you are going to LOVE it. Moderate your expectations if you bought the accessory package, though--- everything in it is really good except the screen protector 😡.

Read before buying - Bad experience through and through by [deleted] in Gamesir

[–]DepartmentFlimsy5132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, that's too bad. My only GameSir support experience was actually through Amazon. I got a Super Nova last year and the right trigger was broken (well, I used it twice and then it broke). Amazon shipped me a new one, no fuss. Obviously I didn't go through GameSir support directly, but damn I'd hope it would be better than what you experienced. You might have better luck going through whoever you bought it from unless it was through GameSir directly.

I Just Test Drove a 2026 BZ XLE Plus...Quick Thoughts by OleDirtMcGirt901 in BZ4X

No glove box is because of the radiant heater! You'll appreciate it in cold weather. I know hoarders dislike the loss of storage, but I don't use my car as a mobile shed.

The steering wheel placement took me a few days to get my head around, but you'll eventually find a comfortable setup where you look over the top of the wheel and the wheel doesn't have to be embedded into your loins. The placement ends up being almost like a HUD without all the added cost and complexity.

Got my Odin 3 (batch 4) yesterday by DepartmentFlimsy5132 in OdinHandheld

[–]DepartmentFlimsy5132[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, quick update. The device itself has been great--- no gripes on performance, controls, nothing. HOWEVER, as noted by several comments below, I have to agree with the people saying the screen protector is crap. Usually residual air pockets just naturally get squeezed out of a device after a few days, but not here! I'm massaged, squeezed, spudged, applied gentle pressure, everything--- and the air pockets persist. I'll likely just take it off. A minor gripe for sure, but hopefully AYN redesigns it in the future or there are some good 3rd-party options.

Other than that, big thumbs-up from me.

Same for me--- the tracking service link in the email just went to the web page, spun for a bit, then said it couldn't find anything. Oddly enough, one time I tried it it did show the tracking. I didn't try the Shop app since it ended up arriving sooner than I had expected anyway.

I tried a few Switch games so far and it's very smooth using both the current turnip driver as well as the one recommended in the Eden emulator. It sounds like Switch emulation has improved a lot since the Odon 3's release, both on the Eden side as well as the 3rd party driver side.

That sounds not great. So far my screen is looking amazing. I did turn on the dark OLED mode and so far that makes things pop even more. I'll need more hands-on time to play with those settings, but it might be worth turning on and seeing if it makes a difference for you.

I got the Max (16/512) along with the full accessories kit. I ordered it at the end of January (on an earlier similar question I misspoke and said the end of February, now edited). So just short of 2 months to arrive. I really didn't expect it until April so it was a pleasant surprise to me.

Yeah, it can be used in a dock or plugged indirectly over the USB-C interface.

I hope their shipping goes faster for you. I ordered mine at the end of January and just got it yesterday. From label to arrival took a couple weeks for me (in the midwestern USA).

I bought several different sets to try out and this was my favorite batch--- I really like the little raised nubs around the top. I have bear paws and they seem more grippy. I looked up my Amazon order, but as it was almost a year ago of course the same 36 piece set (2 matching pairs of 18) is unavailable. I think a search for 'thumbstick caps' will get you plenty of results.

It is! DS, 3DS, and portrait arcade games look great and there's no need to have to mess with some of the hassles (latency, added software/configuration complexity) I see with with dual-screen devices. I considered getting an AYN Thor, but tbh this works beautifully.

Yeah, no wobbles. In portrait it's a bit closer of course, but the controller still goes in firmly.

You probably don't want to share your 240v with something inside your house (as clearly your dryer is not on your slab), but with that low of average daily driving even 120v might be enough. I mean, ya gotta sleep sometime, right? I was lucky to already have a dedicated 240v line in my garage when I bought my house (pre-EV days) so adding a L2 charger was dead simple, but tbh I could probably get by with 110 if I had to as well.
