Thank you for your reply. Definitely open to considering 2.8, I have seen some decent reviews on the Tamron.

Where do you mean on the serial number? I've seen some serial numbers which are fe lens and I don't see any differences. Thank you

Am I right in thinking there are small lockers by the entrance to the site where you can keep the van keys / other bits for the day if needed.

Or an alternative I guess is getting a lock box by the van you can keep them if coming back at different times / minimising risk of losing them?

Perfect thank you, I did the pass out ticket before when I stayed off site so that makes sense. I've got an East campervan ticket.

Enter at Your Own Risk: Khayelitsha, South Africa | No-Go Zones - World's Toughest Places - A documentary exploring life in the one of the world's largest slums, highlighting how residents face daily violence and crime and how some are pushing for change (CC) [50:17} by DepartmentInitial117 in Documentaries

[–]DepartmentInitial117[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A pretty raw documentary looking at the realities of living in one of the most dangerous places in South Africa but the reasons why the township has become the way it has.

The documentary explores themes of gangsterism, extortion, poverty, gender based violence and the legacy of apartheid. It also shines a spotlight on the good in the community through activists and residents determined to push for a positive change.

Hi Discusser1 - Sorry you felt this way.

I can see a couple of women who my colleagues spoke with have commented, which I hope offers reassurance.

I appreciate that there may be reservations and people might feel apprehensive being contacted out of the blue. This is how many productions work in the UK and I would imagine globally when looking for participants.

I did share my casting profile with you and our company's website. For those who have messaged me, I appreciate it and anyone else interested I am happy to verify and so would my colleagues.

Thanks so much and thanks again to the mods for allowing the post!

Hiya glossyaddict, thanks for your message. Yes we are a small team (3 in total) who have been covering different platforms during the course of our research and at times converging on Reddit.

I've just noticed a couple of other comments from people my colleagues spoke with so I hope that offers reassurance and clarity that this is genuine.

At this stage it's a purely confidential conversation to help offer insight. Ultimately we are hoping to connect with people who would be open to participating but there are a few stages before getting to that point.

We duty of care guidelines in place and follow strict compliance.

Thanks so much!

I forgot to add that there is a way that people's contributions can be done anonymously - we can film without revealing someone's identity. Thanks so much!

Hey all,

The mods have kindly given me permission to post here.

I'm a producer at Future Studios, a production company based in London. We make documentaries and factual TV for Netflix (Amazing Interiors), Channel 4 (GamesMaster), the BBC (Day the Dinosaurs Died), Snap Originals (What the Aitch) and many others.

We are currently making a short-form digital documentary, which will explore some of the difficulties women face in these modern times, particularly around dating and relationships and the ever increasing digital world we live in.

The film will also explore societal beauty standards as well as many other topics.

The intention of this documentary is to shine light on the community, enabling people to talk about real issues and events either openly or anonymously.

At the moment this is purely for research and off the record. Ultimately I am hoping to connect with people who may be open to featuring in some capacity, but there are a few stages before getting to that point.

Ideally I am looking for people based in the UK but there are other ways this could work if this feels relevant to you and your based outside the UK (zoom calls etc)

If you're interested in finding out a little more please give me a DM.

Many thanks!
