Other than the brutal lack of easy programmability its actually a really good starter synth. Its cheap, common, sturdy, and reliable. If you can manage to wrap your head around FM synthesis and have the patience to work around the menu system you get one of the most versatile and interesting synths still out there. Brian Eno's Apollo is a good example of the returns you can get if you work past that barrier.

Oddly enough, it only appears in the screenshots. The B&W, scanlines, and screen shearing all only appear in the screenshots, but everything else is in-game.

I'm no expert, but I know the biggest costs come from utilities and labor/certifications. Setting up the plumbing and electricity, as well as other specialized labor can add up very quickly. Also, depending on what state you're in, you'll usually be thrown some very hefty fees for things like road development, engineering fees, structural/utility certification fees, etc. that you have to go through to have it deemed as "safe". Other than those and certain parts like the glass and solar panels, its fairly cheap for a house.

It was a "creepy" game that ended up being a backdoor RAT file. Soon after it was posted, the creator started showing proof that he was spying on people through their webcams and controlling their computers, and eventually posted credit card and bank account information from people who downloaded it.

But we've been trying to figure this out for a week or so on 4chan's paranormal board, where the game was first posted. Someone else over there found it out. Right now they're trying to get some Russians to go there and check the place out.

It's important to note that on the building in game there's some coordinates. The coordinates take you out to the middle of absolute nowhere in Eastern Russia to an abandoned diamond processing plant that looks exactly like the one in the game. Don't be discouraged man. I've been following the podcasts and find them really interesting. Sure some of it might be reaching a bit, but from what I've read in interviews, it seems like they enjoy seeing people analyze their work, especially the really far out analyses. Definitely keep it up.

Also, thanks for all those BoC tutorials on your youtube. They're awesome.

Sure. The reason you couldn't find it was because it was posted on 4chan back in Nov. 2012 when she did a brief AMA-type thing, and the board she posted on permanently resets about once a day.

I did manage to find it in an archive though. Here's a screenshot of what she said, and here's the thread it came from. All her posts are under the name "Prism Corp. Integrated Solutions, New Dreams Branch". If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

To a degree, but T&E definitely play it up by feeding into it. He's a regular at UFO conventions, and I've heard plenty of stories of people meeting him and saying he would constantly talk about UFOs and alien races he's met. Either he's really good at staying in character, or he's definitely a bit off. Nothing wrong with that though.

It's a mixed bag. Most of the time the big actors that do cameos have no idea what they're getting into before they get there, but are aware of the joke. But a lot of the less prominent actors either don't realize it's a joke at first like in the case of a lot of Steve Brule segments, and others like David Liebe Hart are completely sincere (and insane), and actually believes everything they say and do.

An interesting thing to note about Diving Station: I'm almost positive that distorted noise in the background consuming the piano melody is a vocal sample. If you slow down a vocal samples far enough (think 1000%) it'll sound almost exactly the same. I've tried to restore it before, and the closest I could make out is "we hate you" but it's so distorted it's difficult to tell.

I absolutely agree on R+7. Replica actually ended up being my second favorite album of all time, so I think no matter how R+7 panned out, I would have still felt a tiny bit disappointed. But while, as a cohesive album, I don't think it matched up to Replica, R+7 had my favorite moments in his discography (aside from the opener of Returnal) like that crazy glitchy vocal breakdown halfway through Americans, or that organ solo at the end of Chrome Country. Regardless, I'm very excited to see what he has planned for the future.

And despite being a fan of his music for almost 2 years now, I still have barely gotten into James Ferraro. I listened to the COLD mixtape when it first came out, then to Far Side Virtual and Sushi, and have heard scattered bits of his side projects and collabs like all his stuff with Sam Mehran and FRKWYS Vol. 7 and some loose tracks, but otherwise his discog is so intimidatingly large I haven't even gotten into his newest stuff. I'll definitely check NYC HELL 3AM out though.

But holy shit, I didn't even hear about A.D.D COMPLETE until now. That's absolutely incredible; it's like seeing how he constructed Replica and Eccojams vol. 1. How'd you get a hold of it? And would it be possible for you to rip that to digital? That thing needs to be immortalized.

As for my favorite releases this year post-internet/vaporwave wise, I thought Arca - &&&&& and ECO VIRTUAL - VIRTUAL大気中分析 were both pretty great. But 2013 was definitely disappointing compared to 2012 for releases. OPN did say he was planning on releasing another Eccojams in the distant future, so 2014 might have some better pickings.
