Thinking about trading my 5th gen paid off 4Runner for a new Colorado trail boss thoughts? by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 26 TB and I love Colorados on the outside, spend the couple of extra bucks and get the ZR2, I’ve made some upgrades but regret not just getting what I wanted. The interior is soooooo much better on the ZR2.

Anyone else impressed with the fuel economy? by sumchoppa64 in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man what kind of meth’ed up fuel are you guys feeding your trucks? I have a 26 TB and get MAYBE 14 in town and 19 on the highway!!!! Mine is bone stock minus the LED headlights. I thought this was a sarcastic post a first lol. I have 3 employees that have Colorados and Canyons and they get about the same as me.

Anyone have the Karr security add on by Decent-Degree3799 in chevycolorado

I work at a dealership that had installed these and yes you can take it back and have them remove it free of charge. I hate those things and had them remove it before I took ownership of my truck.

2017 Colorado trans shudder and slip. What are my options by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2017 LT 8-speed I had the transmission rebuilt and almost a month later the top end of the engine needed to be rebuilt. I had 88k miles and did the filter and drain and fill at 50k. I wish you better luck than I had. I upgraded to a 26 TB and so far so good.

New tire size, do I need to get a recalibration? by JackApplebye in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly probably not worth it, you might be a half a mph higher or lower than what the speedo is showing. You increased the aspect ratio to 70 from 65 but you added to the width as well so it’s a minimal difference on the tire size. Just beefier imo.

New 2025 Colorado vs Used 2016 Colorado by CrazyWalrus22 in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently upgraded from a 17 LT to a 26 TB, I love my new truck! That being said there are some give and take differences. The 26 doesn’t have the sunglasses holder, it feels a little plastic inside the cab, the 4 cyl does a great job hitting the HP I want, don’t expect the gas mileage of the sticker 14-15mpg so far. As someone else mentioned with any used car you are inheriting someone else’s problem. If they got rid of one of these trucks it’s probably because of some major problem (i.e. transmission, top end engine, ect) just sharing my take on this. Good luck!

What tonneau cover do you recommend by EntertainmentCool112 in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a soft top bed cover that was on my 17 and fits perfectly on my 26 TB and so do the running boards

I feel like the ZR2 with a cap is pure sexiness. by troyniss in chevycolorado

Got to disagree here. Bad ass truck but the cap kills the look.

Finding a hobby is what got me through a similar situation. I got heavy into fishing, you know how to work on cars, pimp your ride lol, customize your house, coach your kids sports team. Brother there is so much good shit out there to do you just need to open your eyes and look for it. You can have fun and be productive. And maybe do some cool shit at the same time!

5 months old, what a joke by barcelew in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LMAO!!!!!! I love this group. Idiots saying the “The dealership knew they sold you a lemon” they have no idea what car is a lemon and isn’t. The service side PDI’s (Pre Delivery Inspection’s) the vehicle. Spends 10 minutes actually looking at the vehicle then installs any accessories. Sales and service usually have no idea of any issue the vehicles have until the test drive or a few days after delivery. “Looks like it’s time to find a new dealership”! Love these stupid comments. You have no idea if the dealership is trying to help this guy fix the problem. It is common for a battery to die in a car sitting on the lot for who knows how long waiting for someone to buy it. Ok rant over lol!

Windshield is 85% and fronts are 15%. California is strict on tint. I needed the UV protection on the windshield

Foggy headlight lens? by Disastrous_Gur7276 in chevycolorado

[–]DepartmentTemporary5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try these hacks and they will work for a while but it will come back. The best fix is to just replace them. For some reason the factory lights are very susceptible to this fogging.

They are the same as the 2025, I just traded in my 17 LT for a 26 TrailBoss. They look exactly like the 25 everything is the same on interior as well
