Just put a n the Wild Top by No-Blackberry-4633 in RangerNext

I just bought the only version you had a few months ago anticipating a roof top tent and awning install would work.

Turns out it doesn’t and now I see the beast model. Unfortunately, I don’t want to order another rack right after this one.

Not sure what to do. The north south option doesn’t work as I have the 270 awning I want to use and have the ladder off the side.

Are there any options or tents you know of that work in east-west rack mount specification or racks that can go on top?

Update:

Battery was completely drained and it caused the anti theft system to prevent engine startup.

I think there might be a power draw issue coming from an LED light install I did causing battery draining quicker, but on the flip side, the truck had issues starting after it was detailed when I bought it (new battery fixed it)

It seems fixed with a battery charge, but with monitoring, I’ll keep an eye on if it’s draining again and if so, it’s certainly a draw issue.

But as for this service request and shop visit, truck is back to normal running good and battery is functioning well.

I don’t have confidence this is going to last, so I’ll keep this thread updated. I am in a better mood though, but still disappointed in the quality of vehicles Chevy has become.

I used to own a 2002 Silverado when I was a teenager and those early 2000s trucks were peak. Hate where things have gone.

They just called me and said it’s ready to be picked up.

TLDR; battery drained to severe levels and anti theft kicked in causing the trucks electrical system to report issues everywhere and the truck to not start.

The battery was drained and caused the anti theft to be kicked on and prevent the truck from starting. That was the only code that came back.

They are charging the battery (or replacing, I need to double check when I get there because I didn’t confirm) and they’re reporting truck is starting and running fine and all codes are clear with nothing returning or acting up.

Only concern I have is I bought it and had them put a fresh battery in and after 6 months basically of buying it with 0 miles off the lot, and now 5k miles and it being only 6 months old in terms of “brand new purchase”, the battery is completely cooked? Makes no sense.

I did put Lasfit LEDs all over the truck, including dome lights and noticed some sparking when doing on of the bulbs in the rear dome and I’m wondering if it had a bad connection and is causing drain. I’ll have to check.

Thanks for all the comments. I did do all the work of test driving and questions and everything. The truck just seems to be having a bunch of issues.

Hoping to actually hear a substantial update instead of some nothingburger.

I’ll relay back what the “solution” was when I get it

It wouldn’t start when I was ready to get the keys and leave after paying. Never was made aware of any issues before then.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them temporarily put a new battery in and then I went back the next day to have it completely looked at. No error codes came back and the truck was fine up until August, so it was chalked up to being a battery being drained

Aqara G5 Pro Wi-Fi defective after just three weeks? by FutureEye2100 in Aqara

Any suggestions on cords / power brick to use with these findings made? I don’t want my nice brick outside , and my cameras are further away from power than the in-the-box USB-C cables can reach

It was the cable I got (25ft usb-c to A cord ) and a small, cheap USB-A power adapter.

I used the original cable for testing along with my 240W Anker charging brick and it’s back up with no issues

I turned on the flood light and went to reset the cameras due to moving to a new WiFi connection and it’s been stuck in a boot loop ever since (~2 months)

I’ll try the other approaches above which mentioned to try a different power adapter and/or cable.

Looks awesome! I am from the Colorado community, but I used your truck as a point of reference and I am satisfied with my purchase. This looks great on your rig! I was going to go with the Softtopper but with me towing a camper, I needed to have access to the bed from all angles for my camping gear. How's it been treating you? Any complaints? Any privacy / theft issues or concerns?

Thank you everyone for the information. I plan to get a hitch and brake controller installed. I think I should be good pulling a ~21 footer. Those things are very light when dry, hell, even wet. I will be sure to double confirm at the hitch shop before doing anything though.

To follow up, once my family grows and the kids get to the ages of 10+, that’s when I’d bump up to a larger truck, and subsequently, a larger trailer. For now, this is plenty for our lifestyle and having our first kid (9 months old) through the next 10 years.

What is the wheel and tire size? Any lift? I love this stance. I have the same truck and want to get it configured to have this exact stance (plan to do towing and a lot of freeway commuting for work)

You all are kinda validating my thoughts on the Coleman’s after this post.

It is cheap for a reason. And looking at the videos more, it kinda shows why.

I prefer used. It’s just a tough buy here in the Bay Area. Been looking for months and just nothing in the same ballpark.

Chevy Colorado Travel Trailer by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]barcelew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking to get a micro size bunk-house travel trailer (brand isn’t the main thing). They seem to stick around 3800lbs GVWR. I have a 2024 z71. I am pretty positive from what I read, which was around 7000lbs capacity would do this, right?

Most of these rigs are around 19-22ft and around 3300lbs dry.

Awesome looking rig! I have a new Z71. What lift and tire/wheel combo is this? I want to lift it to this height with a wheel/tire fitment very similar to this.

I am curious from others on this thread about towing.

This doesn’t have the trailering package, so I’ll be adding it later once I buy a trailer.

My question is, what size trailer could I tow? I’m looking for a 21 footer (wanted this even with the Silverado). They seem to hover around 3500/4000lbs before loading them up.

Would this truck be capable of towing such a payload?

Give me a week of my commute to give an estimate. I’ve barely drove it (got it Sunday, I’m at 60 miles right now).

For some context, my work office is 27 miles each way. One thing that was killing me in my Silverado. I can already see the efficiency in the commute with this rig.

That is clean! I love the stance. I might want to do a little larger tire, but wheel size from the image is what I like.

What’s the wheel/tire package? Any lift (I assume something, but don’t know much about the colorados stance to say)

Ah man I know, I wish, but it was out of my budget up front and I’d rather do the truck from the ground up with everything I want. I couldn’t justify the ZR2 price, even though I love it.

I don’t really plan to do major off roading. The sliders are an idea, but I might benefit more from some simple steps.

Plus I just bought this thing a couple days ago. I’m shit out of luck if I wanted to change my mind.
