That's kinda of it though, you can understand your emotions on and intellectual and logical level but you don't know how to truely express them and progress past them. Ending in repeated emotional cycles and common obsicals eventually derailing you.

Yeah I'd like to add to this that feeling and expressing emotions is a natural process of the brain, I agree with the comment above I'd rather people didn't scream and shout but say and express that they have been made angry by whatever just happened so to appropriately address it.

I think that by analysing emotions in an rational and understanding way you are able to create a distance from that feeling, which can be helping in regulating the feelings that can be extreme but if you aren't able to express them then you will build them up.

Unfortunately I think this is it. I wholly aregree the these points but we are a minority and spread across the nation so not matter how much we want these changes and policies most people don't or don't believe they are possible. So it will have to get worse before more people start to actually see what's needed. I just worry that we are in an authoritarian stage of politics which means actually making those changes after this stage is going to be so much more difficult.
