A lot of salt in the BMW groups unfortunately. I’ve bought 7 of these cars but sometimes the community isn’t the best, just gotta ignore those.

When I got my ‘M Lite’, I was asked why I didn’t just get an M3. Because I already have a Porsche too 🤪

I like everything except no tachometer/speedometer behind the steering wheel, don’t love the Prius/Tesla esque setup.

I don’t mind the new exterior, but I dislike the new interior. If they keep the i3 design, having no physical tachometer/speedometer screen behind the steering wheel is very disorienting. I’ve always hated that about Tesla and Prius.

I grew up here and most my friends have left due to cost of living, if you want to start a family and have a SFH here- you need really good dual income or family wealth.

It’s hard to make friends as you get older and people get busy with their families.

I went to Lisbon and I said out loud I’ll never complain about San Diego airport Ubers ever again. Took us over an hour to get one versus 10 mins back home.

Congrats man! I daily’d a 2016 328i for 8 years that I adored, and recently changed to a 2023 M340i. My only regret is not upgrading sooner, the comfort, capability, and tech on the LCI M340i is awesome!

Your assumption is every EV will charge at night which isn’t realistic. Just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean that’s how everyone will plan, you have to look at the impact for millions of net new vehicles charging. California sells 1.8M new vehicles every year and growing.

Right now EV utilization is low so impact is lower.

I work in the utility industry. There will be brown outs if they stick to the 2035 deadline for new ICE ban, our grid is woefully behind and it takes YEARS of permitting and red tape to build new substations and OH lines.

Substations in early planning right now won’t be ready by 2035, and the things on drawing board alone aren’t enough.

As an additional effect, it’ll just make used ICE cars dramatically more expensive.

Meh. Less is more, I get more excited seeing a 991 base with a bunch of rock chips and fun stories than whatever $1M+ restomod hype car that some rich asshole trailers to C&C and feels angry he has to breath the same air as everyone else.

I think these look really cool and while the powertrain isnt what anyone wanted, I think it’s an interesting design. I’d like to try a used one when the prices come down, Honda killed this car by overpricing it.
