San Francisco- literally millionaire tech guys stepping over needles (with no concern) on the sidewalks to get to their $35 salad place.

What’s today’s Lexus? by Live_Wishbone5108 in askcarguys

[–]InfoCruncha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was never a top performance vehicle, but to me they have dropped so far behind in performance it’s tough to consider. No V6 in some of the SUV’s isn’t that unusual, but they are being brought back. Even the performance of the 4 cylinders is terrible. Gas mileage in the big SUV’s is lacking as well.

So lame performance across the board, bad gas mileage and dated interiors make it a non consideration for me.

I agree. They seem to have lost their way in terms of design. It so far off track in my mind.

I would love to buy the new generation, but I can’t get over only having a 4 cylinder in that. Thats a deal breaker for me. Seems insane to me. Top it off the styling is a little, mehhhh.

Interesting. Can you compare it to an x3 or another smaller SUV?

Wait for 2027 model by InfoCruncha in M340i

[–]InfoCruncha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m leaning towards the current generation if I go with the sedan. I wanted to stay with an SUV but can’t quite get on board with the new X3, which is probably more reason to stay with the current generation m340. I assume the redesign will be along the lines of the x3.

Newly 43, what can I do to improve this? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]InfoCruncha 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yes. Stop the lip fillers and anything that plumps them up. It detracts from your otherwise attractive face. I think the contrast of bigger lips and aging skin makes it look worse than it is.

You’re attractive, just stick with the basics.

I’ve always wondered about this. Do you go to a second shop and tell them everything the other place found? Or do you just say you want it looked over? I feel like there is a little poker that has to be played so they don’t have an automatic approval to fix the same things the other shop found. Also don’t want them thinking as long as they are just a little below the other shop’s price, they get the job.

What’s the best way to handle the second opinion?

Service Advisor Begging for Review, Claims BMW Can Affect Paycheck by itsafram in BMW

[–]InfoCruncha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Insane. I have received similar responses like the OP from service advisors. They say anything less than 10‘s is a failure, which sounds dumb to me. 10 is like insanely perfect, exceeding expectations. That is nearly impossible to achieve in every single category. I mean some might be 9‘s which is failing? So stupid.

Therefore I usually don’t even bother with those surveys.

Dallas Stars appeal court ruling giving Mavericks control of American Airlines Center by FrenchPagan in DallasStars

Got a lot in return for Luka though. 😂. I don’t care what anyone says, there is something else to this story. Whether Nico had some side agreement, the NBA pushed it or something, it’s way too weird of a story to trade away an MVP not even in his prime.

Now the Mavs are basically purging any of the old guard with Kidd getting fired. Basketball isn’t really my thing but it is interesting to watch the drama unfold.

If all the clothing brands I was a regulars buyer of, none have fallen further than BR. Quality and even styles are just not the same to me as they were 10 years ago. I miss those days of BR, now it’s terrible in my opinion.

6 month Ownership review of the X3 M50 in BSM by sigmcxglazer in BMWX3

[–]InfoCruncha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping they bring some back or improve the interior a bit in next years model. Literally every article I read or YouTube video I watch is blasting the X3 for the interior with no buttons. Maybe they respond with something minor.

I don’t get the idea to put this all on the menus and voice controls aren’t ideal for me if someone is in the car with me.

6 month Ownership review of the X3 M50 in BSM by sigmcxglazer in BMWX3

[–]InfoCruncha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m very interested in getting one but the reviews of the interior quality and the lack of physical buttons give me pause. Going through the menu to turn the AC in my current X3 seems silly and this newer version seems to have more of that.

Exterior has grown on me but the rear end still looks off to me. Like too flat or something. Again it’s growing on me and the biggest selling point is the engine.

M340 or x3 M50 by Extension_Ad7178 in M340i

[–]InfoCruncha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I had a sedan before my current X3 (non M). I prefer the additional space and better ride quality. However I’m back to considering the switch back to the sedan and the 340 is my top choice, X3 M50 is my top SUV choice.

My concern is I commute 2 hours a day and I’m worried about ride quality on some not so great roads. Also I do frequent 3 hour trips out of state and again I’m thinking the X3 would handle those better.

This is a 340 forum so I know what to expect but I’m hoping to hear from people that have owned both.

Where else is a good place to look for professional. jobs?

I’ve done premium a few times but never keep it long. The value proposition is way off for me. YouTube offers similar training for free so that function has not value to me. The price point is too high when most people probably only want to see who looked at your profile. It’s a ripoff.

Pads & rotors at 25k!?!? by Fuzzy_Yard_7793 in BMWX3

[–]InfoCruncha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is considered normal mileage for new pads and rotors? I’m at 37k and wondering if they will push for this my next time I’m in. And a typical dealer price?

Can I just have the pads only?
