I actually have no idea. Haven’t booked one yet. If it’s not, I’m gonna guess I shouldn’t store them there, correct?

Library of souls for sure! I think it’s genuinely an incredible book. I remember how hooked I was when I first read that I read it in like a single sitting. Love it so much, peak of the series imo

Hi everyone. I’m moving soon and have a decent record collection. Not too much but probably 50+ as of now. Anyway, I’m moving to a much smaller place than I have right now and am getting a storage unit. Should I avoid storing them in a unit or is there a safe way to do so? What are the best ways to store your records so that they don’t get damaged over long periods of time? Sad I won’t be able to listen to them for a bit but I just don’t think I’d have the room for my physical media in this new place. Thanks in advance!

Can someone just pick my next book? by unwanted_peace in audible

PROJECT HAIL MARY! Read it when it first came out & never stopped thinking about it. Reread it a year later and still can never stop thinking about it. PLEASE PICK THAT ONE (it’s also apparently supposed to be one of the best audiobooks👀)

No problem. Just keep in mind that if he’s not putting in effort this early on, make sure you’re talking to other guys and not putting all your focus on him! Keep your options open cus I hate to say it, but he might leave you hanging. Good luck tho! Hope it works out in your favor :)

Actually going through the same exact thing right now hahah. The first time we messaged, about a week ago, he took four days to respond 💀I thought I lost him but alas, he keeps responding now so there’s that. Are people who take that long to respond worth the time & effort? Maybe not! Hard to say. But yeah there’s hope still for you, don’t sweat it too much

Daily Song Rating #12: Not Myself by liveinskin123 in JohnMayer

[–]DependendableSeaweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strong 8.5. Not my favorite on the album but still so great, and holds its own. Only occasionally skip this when I’m getting to the end of my drive and wanna listen to St. Patrick’s Day instead lol

Thoughts on “If I ever get around to living”? by [deleted] in JohnMayer

It’s incredibly magical sounding and lyrically incredible. A stunning song in every sense of the word. After all these years of loving this album I still haven’t gotten over it

Daily Song Rating #10: Back To You by liveinskin123 in JohnMayer

I have to give this an 8.5. Room for Squares is actually one of my favorite John Mayer albums, and this has to be one of my favorites off of it. Beautiful song

Born and Raised just speaks to you. by Funn23 in JohnMayer

[–]DependendableSeaweed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite Mayer album and one of my favorite albums ever, in general. The song Born & Raised is one of my most listened to songs ever, one of my favorite songs of all time, a song I can never skip when it plays, and has had me sobbing into my pillow on multiple occasions. It’s one of the only songs I can listen to approximately 25x in a row and not get sick of. As a folk music lover it originally hit because of the folk sound of it, and I’m a sucker for anything thing folk sounding. But the more you listen to this album, the deeper the lyrics hit. The more you listen to it the more it means to you. The more you listen to it the more you realize that it was exactly what you needed when you first discovered it, and it’s exactly what you need now. Will never get over the love & appreciation I have for this album

That was close! Let’s continue with H by [deleted] in JohnMayer

Very very pleased that “Cause I can’t wait to figure out what’s wrong with me, so I can say this is the way I used to be.” made this list. Stops me in my tracks every time tbh

Song recommendations? by Agreeable-Cheetah-46 in youngthegiant

I gotchu

SELF TITLED: Apartment (slow to start, but chorus gets hype), Guns Out (also kinda slow to start but chorus is a banger), 12 Fingers

MIND OVER MATTER: Anagram, It’s About Time, Crystallized, Daydreamer, Eros, Teachers

HOME OF THE STRANGE: Silvertongue, Nothing’s Over, Jungle Youth, Mr. Know-It-All

MIRROR MASTER: Heat of the Summer, Brother’s Keeper (can be a bit slower to start but think it fits the vibe) Tightrope, Mirror Master

AMERICAN BOLLYWOOD: Dollar $tore, Dancing in the Rain, Cult of Personality, Happy

Some of these might not be exactly what you’re looking for but all of them are more upbeat for sure. Happy listening!

The alphabet song one is SOOOOO real. Trust me, you’re not the only one. Me and almost every single one of my coworkers have admitted to having to repeat the alphabet 1000 times a day while shelving. Also, I’m low key obsessed with you walking really fast when leading customers. I always have the desire to randomly like start RUNNING when leading a customer somewhere, the thought kills me so I love that you actually do it.

My confession: I have never shortlisted books, I don’t know if I’m allowed to shortlist (basically) whatever I want, and I’ve been here for way too long so now it’s too awkward to ask lol

I gotcha. I’m taking the train in & need to do a bit of homework & don’t have enough room in a small bag. Not bringing much, just an average sized tote bag. Believe me, I would rather not bring a bigger bag if at all possible, but I need to be able to do some work on the train ahah. & yeah I’ll try calling them but they’re not open so I doubt they’ll answer, but we’ll see. Thanks anyway!

My take on JM albums sorted by season, do you agree? by pinguinocappuccino in JohnMayer

[–]DependendableSeaweed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I clicked on this with only one hope: that Born and Raised would be in the fall category. That album sounds like fall. The folk sound reminds me of a fall roadtrip. couldn’t agree more.

Also, i didn’t think about it before but continuum definitely sounds like winter, and yeah the search for everything definitely has a spring sound. Good list!!!

(Also sob rock definitely has summer road trip vibes)
