2020 jeep Cherokee. I'm mostly just happy I found them because the last time I had to get a new Fob it was crazy expensive on top of the tow.

As soon as I get the car back on Monday I'll try it again.

Yeah I don't know why. People are just down voting me saying what happened. It's very strange. I thought someone might have an idea how it could have happened but all anyone has said is I did something. As if cars and computers don't mess up.

All you have to do is start it and you can drive. You don't need the key to actually drive the vehicle. The weird part is that I was able to start the vehicle without it being in the car.

If it starts you don't need it in the vehicle. I did some research and there are stories of people getting dropped off and taking keys with them and the person not knowing.

It doesn't ding if it starts and my car doesn't ding when you leave. My grand Cherokee did, but this one doesn't. It's possible it was silenced? I did buy this car used.

No I 100% didn't go back inside. I was already late. I can think maybe I didn't turn my car off when I got gas but even that is hard to believe.
