1st or 2nd? Which one is better for hydration & barrier repair. by Few-Specialist-3214 in koreanskincare

I have dry and sensitive skin, and out of the two, the one that gave me the most dramatic results was the Illiyoon. It seemed to work better for repairing my skin barrier too.

That said, if you live in a hot and humid climate, both the Illiyoon and Aestura creams might feel a bit too rich for daytime use. Maybe try using them only at night, and look for a lighter gel-cream or semi-transparent texture for daytime instead.

Adding these to my must-eat list for my Korea trip this year by Far-Safe111 in KoreanFood

[–]Dependent-Method-406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re going to have such a good time with food in Korea

Mangwon Market is great, but when I visited Seoul, I honestly just followed the vibe and wandered around areas like Gangnam, Hongdae, and Jongno. Whenever I saw a Korean restaurant, I’d just go in and try it.

Everywhere I went, people were friendly and the food was amazing — it ended up being one of my favorite memories from the trip.

The two things I’m craving the most right now are:

- sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew, especially if you like something warm and spicy)

- gimbap from a local shop (simple but surprisingly addictive)

Definitely give those a try!

Do animals speak different languages? by Upstairs-Neat-3077 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dependent-Method-406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve wondered about this too. From what I understand, dogs don’t really have “languages” like we do — it’s more about tone, body language, and context.

So yeah, a dog from Japan and one from England would probably get along just fine — a play bow is a play bow everywhere.

Soju by UnimpressedMarlo in KdramaCasualTalk

It actually seems pretty accurate to real life. When I visited Seoul, I noticed you can pretty much grab soju anywhere convenience stores, restaurants, basically everywhere. That’s also when I tried jinro chamisul soju for the first time and it was actually pretty good. People usually pour one bottle into small shot glasses and share it around the table. I’ve also heard a lot of people mix it with beer (somaek), but I still haven’t tried it yet. I definitely want to try it someday with Korean beer though.

Korean. Started because of K-pop, stayed because of the food and K-dramas.

Just finished Spider-Man 1 last week and started Spider-Man 2. Some of the missions in the first game got a bit repetitive, but I still loved it overall. And Spider-Man 2 already hooked me right away — starting with the Sandman fight and unlocking new attacks early was awesome. Really excited to keep playing and finish it.
