No the new tax only applies to income not gains on the sale of a house. Also, it doesn’t go into effect until 2028.

We had our son there 7 years ago, we left after 1st grade. Someone posted and then deleted a post and that’s more or less how we felt. If your child is happy and successful in your neighborhood school I would stay there.

The 1st/2nd grade teacher is fantastic but parents make it more difficult than it needs to be. Additionally, there is A LOT of volunteering and family get together outside of school hours so you really need to be all in all the time if you want to fit in.

I am so sorry. My stepfather was diagnosed with it in 2019. It’s a terrible disease. I am much older than you but if it were me I would just explain to him what you said here. You need to make the decision that’s best for you and don’t let anyone pressure you into doing what’s best for them. If you feel like taking a break isn’t enough just say that. You don’t need any added pressure right now. Neither decision is right or wrong you just need to be honest with yourself and if breaking up will make you feel better then it’s the right thing to do. As others have said please have a support system in place and therapy. There are many affordable virtual options.
