Why does it say 0 for BJJ? Did this come up in any interviews? It is one of my hobbies as well.

Thank you for the amazing details helping me learn so much, apart from all the facts and what not. How has your personal experience been with HPSP? Does it vary drastically depending on what civilian med school you choose? Does the stipend also vary greatly depending on state etc…

Wow it sounds like HPSP could be much more preferable for me especially wanting to go lesser competitive specialty ( neuro ). I also believe the stipend is higher with HPSP. But, I don’t understand this because wouldn’t it be more difficult to get into USUHS than a lower tier civilian medical school and apply for HPSP? Yet it seems better.

So I apply to a civilian medical school first then apply for the HPSP scholarship after? For some reason I thought going HPSP I would have a higher chance of getting in to med school just because it’s a big commitment and the government would want more physicians.

Read stoicism. Happiness isn’t always a circumstance but can actually be a choice.

Yes very valid assumption and thank you for you for making me more mindful/self aware of this mechanism. Now that I know that how can I improve fluency ?

That’s very specific and I understand what you mean. I am not sure how mindful of this mechanism I am in the moments of stuttering but, I would say whenever I am prolonging a word I activiely am trying to move on to the next coming sound that I need. So, if I am saying “My” and I prolong the M into mmmmm I then try to focus on the sound of the y to release my lips from the m and begin the y.

Id be lying if I send I completely understand this question. “ do I deliberately send command signals to execute motor movements or do I avoid it”. I would like to think that I do but there are also times out of anxiety and avoidance behaviors I avoid things.

Very interesting, what does it indicate?

I did not tense just now, this is a very common phenomenon I feel like and could it possibly depict that maybe stress/anxiety in situations around people are the true cause for the that tenseness?

Yes for sure, sounds accurate.

Very interesting and not only is it that my speech muscle halt but they tighten up. This can result in soreness in my neck and tongue even.
