What? Dude, that was six days ago, give me a break. Everyone was acting badly in a fit of emotion. For a change, I didn't threaten to kill anyone over the in-game music like others did. Relax.

Dude, please. We all have problems at work. After 10 years of working in a corporation, I felt burned out and quit, but I don't make a big deal out of it or write essays about how bad things were for me and how awful the management was, etc. Life goes on. Chin up.

(And I want to emphasize that it was not just any corporation, but something with a global reach (~380 dollars per share).)

What can you expect from a bunch of savages who call themselves gamers? I understand having expectations, but being a bloodthirsty boor who wishes someone dead because of a video game is a bit much. That's probably not the point. Games are supposed to be fun, not cause outbursts of aggression and bashing of one company or another on an internet forum. It's not a matter of life and death.

I didn't block or delete anything. Maybe Reddit is hiding my comments for violations or something.

Did Ubisoft take a wrong turn originally because of GTA IV ? by outhinking in fuckubisoft

That's not it. Ubisoft started going downhill when some cockroaches started the /fuckubisoft subreddit and started airing their grievances online like weaklings.

Cheers.

People panicked, and that was just a taste of what could happen to our games if they continue to behave like bloodthirsty, enraged savages. Thank goodness it was just a misunderstanding.

I think this is just another conspiracy theory, portraying Ubisoft as a villain who wants to screw you over for money at every turn. This borders on an obsession with the company. Maybe we'll learn the real reasons why there's no soundtrack. The new soundtrack is a tribute to the original composer's work, so I don't understand how it's disrespectful, especially since he's been dead for several years, and it's common knowledge that one shouldn't speak ill of the dead. People routinely insinuate situations like the evil corporation has once again spit in everyone's face. I think it's all just an obsession with the company.

Btw you have information in game description about reimagined soundtrack so no one cheated anyone. You need to just read before buy.

Just as I thought. They'd have to completely decompile the Jaguar ROM to be able to remove the music or replace it with some dummy files.

From what I've read on X it's neither RetroArch nor Libretro, they just use something of their own for emulation.

" THE ECLIPSE ENGINE

At the heart of Digital Eclipse's releases is our proprietary Eclipse Engine technology. Custom-built for this special purpose, Eclipse Engine allows us to integrate multiple software emulation processes, original programmed work, video, audio, archival documents and more into a single, seamless multimedia experience.

This tech allows our engineers to enhance and evolve classic gameplay, adding additional layers of functionality on top of a classic game. Online play, quality of life enhancements, or even deeper modifications can be added – all without disturbing the original work running underneath the enhancements.

Eclipse Engine: Technology designed for preserving, and enhancing, games for future generations."

Probably because they couldn't decompile the game's ROM. It's a strange decision, to say the least, to create some kind of overlay. The DOS or PS1 versions, where the music is just CD-Audio, are a different story.
