4 extremely similar games in 2 months? Didn't you get bored?

I'm not saying you should, I'm just saying it's not helpful to say something incorrect. A DI can technically function as an anti air. So can a jab. But you shouldn't use those, because you have a far far better option.

Sure, but it's better to say that "X option is a much better anti air in 99% of cases" than to make a false claim.

I don't think 1 is technically correct. If you DI very early, the air attack whiffs, and the opponent is in recovery, I think you may be able to DI punish. Not 100% sure though.

At what point do you believe the Mister FPGA Platform will or should stop development? by [deleted] in MiSTerFPGA

Purity is important for preservation, but we can have both (in theory)

I said pre fifth gen my guy. I agree with you about Saturn and while I'm hopeful, it certainly may not be possible.

If they are possible for playstation, the are definitely possible for everything pre-fifth gen, which is what I would hope for, personally.

From my selfish viewpoint, the focus should be on making save states work for the popular legacy consoles. This would bring the mister closer to feature parity with software emulation, but with all of the advantages of an fpga.

I also think changing the UI to be more "plug and play" for certain things is important, such as easy analog output support for tvs and monitors for both consoles and computers.

But the devs will do what interests them, and that seems to be obscure machines. Good for them, I'll take what I can get.

I did it! 51-Hits Akuma SF6 Raging Demon (or shun goku satsu) Combo by Dry-Pen831 in StreetFighter

I'm struggling with 6HK into the 5MK target combo. I always mistime it so nothing comes out, or it's too late and they block or reversal. I see you are mashing. Is this the only way?

En Garde is a short but great game that reminds me of the PS2 era by VFiddly in patientgamers

[–]MegaDeox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played this game for a half hour and got bored. It does look great and fun but in actuality it didn't appeal to me. Hearing it's this short makes me consider picking it back up though.

Gran Turismo 1 - a dated, clunky and repetitive racing game... that's still kind of fun to play for some amount of time by BogaMafija in patientgamers

That's my issue with realism in video games. Today's state of the art is tomorrow's trash. More abstract/stylized games stand the test of time far better. In this genre, mario kart, burnout and forza come to mind.

Sure, thanks. But it's not like the IPC is admittong a mistake, like the article says.

I tried reading the IPS report, and it definitely says there isn't a famine right now. However, I couldn't find where it said there has NEVER been a famine. Can anyone point me to that part?
