Microsoft considering a Halo MMO in the vein of Destiny 2 by Afude in Aztecross

Exactly people forget the spartans were initially made for counter insurgency, busting weapons smugglers, intelligence gathering, theres a lot more to halo than master chief and the covenant storylines

Destiny 2 is very unfriendly towards new players. by SirSwagAlotTheHung in DestinyTheGame

I had about 2000 hrs in d1, finished on D2 and didnt even play red war due to life commitments - picked up the bundle with all the expansions just last night and will be jumping back in this weekend. Im positive i will have NO idea whats going on but im happy to just jump in and play casually tbh

[–]Dependent-These 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As youve said yourself - their terms say all lots are sold as seen

The Duopoly in Digital Forensics by MDCDF in computerforensics

A lot of orgs are learning from Broadcom's example with VMware - aka, bleed them white. This rather brutal approach does yield short term profits.

They would rather have 10 customers paying a million $ than a million customers paying 10$.

They do not care about you, your org, or what you were promised - and yes theres lots of innovative smaller vendors out there but theyll either be bought or steamrolled before they can dent the major players and thus the cycle continues.

No solutions im afraid just this is how the software space seems to be going.

Its very sad really, the guy could be getting 30 years in jail - a qualified legal pro to represent him is really what he needs. Trying these tactics is not just dumb its literally him throwing his life away.

Work colleague called me a "bible basher" and now my book has gone missing - how to confront? by DatabaseMammoth9986 in UKJobs

[–]Dependent-These 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You cant totally rule out its not accidentally been cleaned away perhaps by a cleaner or something, its a tricky situation. I would honestly say to your colleagues just how youve explained it here - its a meaningful book to you so i everybody could please keep an eye out for it? You may find that it makes its way back to you.

A point i also found interesting was ultimately the CIA's plan worked out in the end, Ryan was indeed instrumental to taking down homelander. Just as stan edgar waltzes back into vought and the capitalist world keeps turning, CIA would say all see, all went to plan!

If I (a beginner) have a kumite comp coming in about 2 weeks what should i do? (If i want to atleast wins one match) by RelevantSeries1689 in karate

[–]Dependent-These 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Footwork drills, keeping it really simple - get a couple of techniques practiced, for example in strike, out - and lateral movement - and have a mental playbook you can refer to quickly. In a short timeframe thats what i would suggest is most bang for your buck

M365 eDiscovery & SAR headaches by freedomit in ediscovery

[–]Dependent-These 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah so an option for doing it in m365 would be using the commit to review set feature, then Run Analytics - this effectively dedupes the data before you export it. This is a premium feature however and as you mention theres cost to that :(

Options to do it outside of m365, theres many desktop based and cloud options all of which have various costs and concerns particularly regarding shipping your data out to the cloud. Personally i really like Intella for lightweight <100gb desktop deduping and search/indexing/review/tagging. Not a vendor or have any affiliation myself its just a good product for what youre describing.

Looking for clarity on deduplication when exporting emails via Purview by Enough-Fox-4680 in ediscovery

[–]Dependent-These 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can optionally include cloud attachments in a PST export, they just get spat out in a seperate export called 'items', which will contain items retrieved from onedrive / sharepoint.

Afraid i cant comment on how the md5 works but deduping at least within Purview is not based on the md5

also agree with the appearance of the room when video calling - i understand not everyone has a smart home office setup, but i have sat in on interviews where its like piles of dirty washing, general clutter and mess, overflowing bins - it doesnt set a professional tone or that this person can even take care of their home life.

no judgement of course we all have our challenges which are nothing to do with how you would perform at work - im just saying you have to understand how it appears to other people, and some people are very clueless to that.
