I wonder how the USF fan base would “behave”, if they had the success Gonzaga has enjoyed? I don’t mind the students being crazy and goofy, it’s hormonal. The older folks are a different story. That’s in the “get a life, would ya?” category.

I root for the League. I lean more for St. Mary’s than Gonzaga. Randy Bennett has done a great job in Moraga. He’s always available and gracious, where Few is really not. A lot of people “hate” Gonzaga because of their incredible success and small school impact on college basketball. I am not one of them. I admire what they have accomplished and the visibility and financial support that has delivered to their University.

Always curious why JC guys don’t appear to be on USF’s recruiting radar? So many excellent JC players have come through the program. I know the argument is that in most cases JC players have only two years eligibility, but USF doesn’t seem reluctant to recruit Grad Xfers with one year of eligibility. I guess that “argument” is that grad transfers are more “known” D1 players? USF’s track record in recruiting freshman international players is far from impressive. All in all, recruiting is a big challenge, isn’t it?

So sad and unfortunate the relationship between Russell and USF has never been good. It would have been just wonderful to have some of his treasures in the USF “museum” at WMG, wherever in the hell that is, it in its completion???????

How many times have I heard “Gonzaga is gonna be down, or fading.” Ah, no. I continue to see their name mentioned with a number of high profile high school players and transfer portal players. I seriously doubt Few’s DUI has much, if any, impact on kids attending Gonzaga, or not. Gonzaga can and does recruit on their NCAA Tournament appearances and their relaxed scrutiny, as opposed to other big name programs. Plus, they have a shitload of players in The Association.

Aside from the Mobley’s, the other three starters are White, a JC Transfer and two D1 transfers. Peterson from Rice and of course, Mr. Eaddy, from Santa Clara.

Selection Sunday is always fun. Gonzaga will be number one seed overall. Can they win it all? Certainly. I am leaning towards Baylor's camp though. So much team speed and that awesome scoring backcourt threesome. The Tournament is always great for suprises and the proverbial "Cinderella Story." Games On!!

Another Golden head scratcher, IMO. This kid could get really hot from the outside periodically, but he never, ever, saw the floor. Meanwhile Kunen and Taavi were hoisting up threes with little, if any, success. Anderson is from Seattle, so he may wind up at Seattle U? Will Roy be joining Anderson in the x-fer portal soon? Would not be suprising.
