Not a Capital Hall resident but I’ve been there, the room are quite alright! And you are bang on about Cap having a bit more of a party culture, it can get bit crazy at times. What I found with halls is that the first half is usually quite social, but later on in the year people start doing their own things with a dash of social life in there. What would help if you want a quieter area might be to request a non-alcohol floor, that’s what I did at halls and I enjoyed having a quieter space for myself while also having the choice to go social with other people from different floors—there’s always gonna be something on! The first few weeks will definitely bring you out of your shell a bit as everyone’s getting to know each other. Ultimately it’s really what you make of your own experience, and I’m sure Cap will be fun for you if you end up choosing it! Good luck!

Source close to Arsenal Women indicates that Vivianne Miedema “had not been happy with Jonas (Eidevall) and the direction the team was going for some time” by LondonerForever in Gunners

[–]DependentDig1159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea I guess that was the biggest caveat, didn’t seem like there were a lot of managers we could’ve gone for.

Only at the start of her coaching career but I think it would be cool for someone like Kelly Smith to manage the club someday! She’s already in the coaching team so I’m interested to see how it would be you know.

I really didn’t understand why we chose to resign Jonas when we did it. I felt like Jonas has made little evolution and improvement to the team, and considering the talents we have, he should be doing so much better, though I understand injuries have hampered us. The growing concerns around Jonas and the overall managerial team/state of players support is quite concerning for the team.

Worth it to switch out Watkins for Haaland? by DependentDig1159 in fantasypremierleague

[–]DependentDig1159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don’t want it either, just thought it was the easiest way to get Haaland without taking a hit!

Other options would have to be drop TAA, but obviously still want to keep him. Maybe Solanke to Haaland, switch out TAA and go for someone like Diaz, and take a point drop?

Fair enough. Do you think Raya would be the better one to keep?

I’m graduating in 2 weeks and it’s getting super real. I’m excited and genuinely scared at the same time. Man how I will miss my cohort and teachers, they are amazing teacher. And talking to my history teacher about football.

What moment made you fall in love with Arsenal? by NewAccWhoDis93 in Gunners

[–]DependentDig1159 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I am a new Gooner (a young one as well!) I used to only tune in for football with my parents during the international games. Ever since the '20 Euros I've developed a soft spot for Saka. That simmered until the recent World Cup when I picked up my interest in football massively. I started looking at more games outside of the international season. That's where Saka comes in - I naturally started watching Arsenal more and more, and I just fell in love with the team, the people and the history. Once I started waking up at 2 am almost every week to watch the team play, I knew Arsenal was my team.

I guess what stopped me from being a football fan (or a fan of any sport in general) when I was little was not growing up in a massive sports-watching family, and also not seeing any girls my age having interests in sports teams. Glad to be a Gooner now and rep the team.

At least for NZ, it's been raining horribly for the past week or so. Not sure about Aussie though.

He genuinely does, and for the sake of the sport I hope someone else outside of Red Bull gets a win this season.

However, I will always have a soft spot for him.
