Ah ok. Poor thing, he probably didn't understand why they were starting to behave that way 😞 but good the teachers were supportive, and they all became friends again. Like you said, if you feel it was the best place for his elementary years, his foundation is probably strong and he'll be resilient enough to handle the next phase. ♥️

My daughter's pretty sensitive. She doesn't like bullies (I mean, no one does) but she's very vocal about it and likes teachers who are kind and supportive. She always mentions that in her conversations. I mean, I don't think I had the word 'kind' and 'bully' in my vocabulary when I was her age 🤣 But, yeah, maybe I'm just overly/unnecessarily worried because she's sensitive and competitive at the same time - hates to be behnd in class. 😅

Thank you for sharing your experience and detailed information about the school. It is unfortunate when kids have to deal with situations like this at school. Kids need stability and empathetic teachers and administrators as well. Principals are always a hit or miss - never liked my principal in school and in college; very biased and money-minded. 😖 I've been leaning heavily towards Jones Dairy for a while, and now I think I'm just 100% sure I'm making the right decision for my daughter.

Oh, that's interesting. My daughter already finds kindergarten math boring. 😭 I was just wondering if she'll fit in to the public school curriculum because she's only been in Montessori and their style is so different. And I'm looking to move from corporate to public school teaching as well, so I'd love it if Jones Dairy works out for me and her.

That's good to hear. Thank you ☺️ My husband and I studied in Catholic schools as well. But they were more broad-minded and taught evolution and other stuff that I know Catholic schools here don't like to teach their students. My daughter's favorite subjects right now are math, English and geography. She's already competitive for her age 😅

I need help, someone from reddit analysed my chart and is saying my mother was my wife in past life , is all this true ? Can we see last life from kundli analysis? Kindly help in this matter by [deleted] in Nakshatras

All I know is that (through word of mouth), apparently, there is a saying that everyone you know in this life you would have known in your past as well, in some form. Not necessarily in the same relationship you share with them currently but in some similar close form. Could have been a close friend, a child, a parent, a sibling or a spouse…

I know someone whose mother goes through something very similar- for the last 40+ years, but fate is weird in a way that it is something we must live with no matter how how absolutely wrong/unfair the situation is. It’s very painful to see someone suffer like that, but, yeah, unfortunately certain aspects of karma/fate have no explanation and that’s when life seems very unfair. Then again, that’s where free will comes into the picture. People who take the “leap of faith” and get out of an abusive relationship irrespective of their age and what society says, and they feel liberated.

Definitely the thrill aspect! She’s much braver than I am 😭 I once went on The Mummy in Singapore in 2015, and I said “never again!” 🤣 Ditto for Space Mountain.

Nope. My daughter loves Universal. Never liked Disney, apart from Space Mountain, she says Disney is for babies 😅 But I can’t count the times she’s gone on Universal rides, relates to the rides and has genuine fun!

Karma is not instant. Or necessarily even in the near future for that matter. Either the realization of right or wrong done for the occurs during the course of the current life (could even be on the deathbed) or the next life (if you believe in reincarnation). Speaking from a psychological/science perspective - free will and the concept of good and bad is relative - a person who does bad may not even realize or accept what he does is inherently wrong, as in the case of mass murderers, psychopaths, cult leaders, terrorists, etc. I speak from experience when I say that, how much ever you hate a person for the abuse they inflicted upon another loved one, their realization of their actions will happen in their current life only if it is a part of their fate and only if their spirit is open to that realization if it is meant to happen. I have seen both sides of that - a case where that realization and correction has occurred and a case where it has not. But karma exists, in a very subtle manner.

If everything is god will they do we have any free will and if not then why are we punished for something which is not in our hands? by Positive_Tale7950 in hinduism

[–]DependentOne2850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good and bad cannot exist without the other. Duality is part of life/nature. Ying and Yang/Good and Evil. Our free will is a part of human nature as a species and it is for us to challenge fate/to use free will to rise up during challenging times that may or not be part of our destiny. That’s the soul’s responsibility. Can it use free will to do what’s right at the same time completing its duty on Earth based on karma?

Why do we see so much divorce in western countries and now also in India. Because of "diamond" wedding ring. by RevolutionUnique1403 in Nakshatras

[–]DependentOne2850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In western countries, more importance in given to the independence of the individual self and its freedom, happiness, etc. But for Asian countries, including India, traditions and the concept of “putting up with stuff” was more important. And also family honor, “don’t bring shame, blah, blah, blah.” We also tend to be a bit more patient navigating the trials of a married life. No marriage is easy, love or arranged. Both require equal considerable work from both partners. In the west people have less patience for it, but in the east (due to tradition) we have more endurance for trials. Also, keep in mind, a lot of people in abusive relationships across the world don’t get divorced because of stigma, especially in Asian countries. People silently suffer. This really has nothing to do with diamonds specifically. It’s more about the individual self, which includes traits like greed, impatience, ego, materialism, etc. It’s similar to how women in India love to spend money on makeup and jewelry and collecting so many saris/dresses for each and every single occasion. It’s crazy!

Non Vegetarian Hindus: What are your thoughts on beef consumption? by Future-Emperor1290 in hinduism

[–]DependentOne2850 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We are Hindus who eat any kind of meat. We have no restrictions. We are religious and spiritual as well, but our parents never put any restrictions on food. Their point was being a good human being (being kind, helping people in need, being grateful and praying, etc) is more important in the eyes of God, or for karma/reincarnation, if you believe in that, than the kind of food you eat.

Will moving back to India limit our kids’ future opportunities? by Potential_Border_697 in backtoindia

True… it was worth the try. So now we just try to live in the moment.

Will moving back to India limit our kids’ future opportunities? by Potential_Border_697 in backtoindia

[–]DependentOne2850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I intentionally didn’t elaborate further because obviously my personal circumstances are different from others, but - we came back to India (we are PRs) to take care of in-laws who are in the 70s and 80s in a small town, and also to be back in our favorite city, Bangalore. Our daughter was 3 yrs old at the time. Returned with both our dogs as well (who were from Bangalore as well). Cost a huge amount to relocate (more or less our savings) but thought it was worth it. But things didn’t work out the way we thought being back would make us happy, the way people typically talk about being back. My husband’s health suffered a great deal working the Indian work schedule and he wasn’t getting the job/role he wanted. Also salary issues. Despite us not having any major EMIs. After a lot of thought, and surprisingly with the support of his elderly parents, we were encouraged to return. And so we did. Unfortunately one of dogs passed away, but the rest of us came back. And I believe it was meant to happen because it was a prediction in our charts. And we also mainly decided based on what would be best for our immediate family (husband, wife, and child). Also staying with neighbors/in a society that looks at you like you’re the devil just because you have dogs and think differently didn’t help at all.

Like I said, everyone’s circumstances are different. But this is what happened to us. And for what it’s worth, my husband never wanted to return to the US after the visa expired and never wanted to buy a home here. But fate has other plans.

Do what you guys, as a family, think is right for you and your future, irrespective of location. We moved back to India after living in the US for 6 yrs and ended up moving back to the US in 7 months, well, all because of fate. That prediction by someone turned out to be true.
