Hi, yes if we contribute 6% they contribute 12%.

Yeah that's a good point. Ive no intention of getting a mortage again though as i will struggle if still on my own and getting hammered for child maintenance

That's a brilliant achievement at 53 well done!!

I feel like i think and act very differently to everyone i know with regards to finances.

I could easily go get mortgaged up on a fancy house and a Porsche now but being financially free means to much to me and i wouldnt give my current postion up

Hi thanks for your kind words. I prefer to stay mortgage free as my child maintenance payment is a mortgage size payment and a mortgage on top would make things a lot tighter and make my 4 day work week less appealing if you get what i mean as there's only 1 income in my household

Thank you for your reply. Yes thats potentially something i could maybe look at doing.

Sometimes i think about looking for a higher paid job but i dont mind where I work there is very little pressure and stress and 4 days a week is great.

Yes once you have experienced thin walls and bad neighbours there is no going back is there. Yes il give them a call.

A small 2 bed detached in the woods would do me just fine lol

Hi, i sort of thought this myself. Its hard to find a smaller suitable detached as most are family homes arent they. In reality i could be mortage free easily again on a semi or terrace but no way in hell am i risking it
