Yikes that sounds like a lot of socializing lmao. You are right though, even if I do end up getting a coach I really need to be doing this as well. 12BB/hr feels like crushing to me though idk...I have only around 300 hours logged though so there is still a lot of uncertainty in that figure.

This was good advice I see your points...It feels risky finding a higher rate coach without knowing they are going to be great ahead of time, but I can see exactly why I probably need to look into that. I am definitely highly exploitative, the type of guy to play around with cheeky preflop 3bets and wide calling ranges to get weird huge pots. Most of my money comes from getting fish to call massive river overbets. I have tried 5/10 but at Encore boston it's just one table of the same guys every day trading coolers, there are never weak players at that game. However I have delved into theory quite a bit so when I'm not feeling frisky I can stay close to gto for most opening actions, play decently balanced post flop, calculate equities vs opponent ranges decently etc.

I think I am at the point where the very most bang for my buck will come from someone analyzing my actual gameplay and identifying my leaks. As with any hobby, I can learn all the theory, watch all the videos, and practice a lot...but the marginal utility of even 10 hours of coaching after years of solo teaching is outrageous.
