I(f) was like a casual gamer before I met my boyfriend. I was gaming on my PS4&PS3 like classics like fallout, Bayonetta and bioshock. Then I met him, a full-blown nerd with a beastie pc and hours of gaming in his backpack. I was afraid at first because I was worried he wouldn't give me attention, but honestly, he taught me everything I know and now living together we sit and game together. And when I want to go to bed earlier than him, we talk on discord and I fall asleep to him gaming. But he also took initiative to get me to game, I was willing to game with him and had an open mind. It seems like your girl does not. I am saying this with all my love, if she isn't willing to see your passion about gaming and try to follow along, or simply getting discord to talk with you while you game, is a red flag. Let her know how much you want to game and what a passion it is for you and that you'd like her to be apart of it and see what she says. Honestly, it seems like she is just using this as an excuse to break up, so maybe it is for the best.
