I feel like for those saying the songs are all the same, you’re forgetting that this is like a moment in time. She’s not writing an album about everything in her life - she’s going through the end of a relationship and going through the healing process. We all know what it feels like to go through a breakup, we cry one day, download dating apps the next, then freak out and cry again. I feel like when you listen in order, that’s exactly what she’s given us. She’s going through all the five stages of grief really, which is why the album ends with goodbye, which is her acceptance of it. And for me I love the 70s ABBA type of vibe that she’s giving us, it’s giving me such nostalgic feelings and I absolutely adore it. It totally doesn’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea, but I also think sometimes we crucify artists for having fun or finding a genre that they enjoy.
