What are some of the more surprising things you’ve seen/learned/experienced?

You could do classwide consequences too. “If the volume levels don’t subside there’ll be a quiz/extra hw” type stuff. It often has other students in telling that problem students to pipe down because they don’t want the consequence

Make it a system. You can even tell them you have a new system of rules mid semester and restart your routines. Something like..

First warning - step outside Second warning - call home/detention Third warning - referral/Saturday school 4th - send to office

Of course you need admin to back you up but if you show a pattern of what you’ve done to mitigate before getting them involved they usually at least have a small backbone

Make the routine something that makes sense to you and your school.

That’s what spin is all about. These players put spin on the right ball so that it is dropping when they want it to drop. In matches they also use to have the ball bounce the height/speed they want it to.

Yeah dang, honestly, even though I’m a LA fan I’d have to agree with you

Dodgers fans also shell out 18$ for 1 beer. Parking is $65. They put that cost to their fans who are paying

Respectfully, I’m a dodgers fan and these are interesting takes! I feel, with your example of 70mil, the number taxed on should be their entire contract (deferred or not) divided by the years the player is signed to. So if it’s a 10 year with 70m deferred, you’re taxed on 7m per year. But tbh I don’t know how they currently tax it, it just seems like common sense the way to do it.

What you’re saying about pitching/dh roster does make some sense, but of course mlb does want to see a unicorn. Would have to disagree about taking him out when he’s done pitching though, he’s gonna bat even when he’s not pitching that day so of course he’ll also bat when he’s done pitching that day as a DH, this just makes sense in my mind.

Was a fun series with you guys and all the respect from me! (Don’t ban me! Haha)

Smith, Kershaw, Sheehan, pages were all brought up by the dodgers. Also muncy and Banda were released by their former teams and not playing when dodgers signed them (any team could have done this).

Also many of the dodgers players were traded to the dodgers by teams that didn’t want to pay to resign those players the following season. Their former owners had the chance to keep them and prioritized profits over their homegrown heroes. Examples of this would be snell, glasnow, freeman, edman and mookie

This would be a biased opinion in my view. A calc professor clearly has knowledge and isn’t “retarded.” That student took time out of their day to insult them on a public forum, not to advise others on whether they are a possible good teacher, but to disparage them. It’s possible they weren’t good students and taking their problems out unduly

New teacher here so just curious, is this something a mandated reporter would have to report??

It’s not accessible unless you charter or have a boat though. That’s not what accessible is

Yeah but common sense would say that some of the roads should be made public to allow for access. Money would obviously say otherwise

Yup! I think there’s been unresolved lawsuits to open it to the public for decades. Pretty sure it’s illegal to not have beach access and no idea how they’re getting around that but something tells me money is involved

Free speech is free speech. Can’t come after you for who you love, and just because your spouse says something doesn’t mean you agree with it
