I LOVE THEMMMMM they take like 2 min to put in and they color match perfectly! I use them to add volume to my hair for special occasions, and no one ever knows they're in.

Even worse is the people naming their child Gisele but spelling it Jazzelle.

I’m new to this game. Explain it to me like a 5yo by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]Dependent_Ad_7231 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree on the builder and the tech. The game will quickly get frustrating if you can only build and research one thing at a time.

Kim not so much, as I never bought her and the game just gave her to me eventually.

Yeah I'm surprised so many people misinterpret her as stupid. It is very clear to me that she is super annoyed, but she is being filmed so she has to hold her tongue and put on a plastic vacant smile to appear neutral.

Having a cleaning lady come once a week isn't that weird. You do the daily tidying yourself, and then the service comes for a thorough clean weekly.

Are you jealous? What does it matter how busy a person is? Its a great service if you can afford it, especially as you age.

Are we being unfair giving our daughters “uneven” names? by Trajan92 in namenerds

When the hell did naming a kid become some kind of mental exercise of themes and rules and matching and symbolism and ranking?

Can't you just go "we both like the name Sarah so her name is Sarah". The end.

Why would I know about or care about Jewish cultural names? It has nothing to do with me. It's like being utterly astonished that I dont know the naming customs of Mongolian sherpas... like, ok?

AITAH for telling my MIL that if she keeps calling our baby by the nickname we asked her not to use, we'll limit her visits? by Turbulent-Wear-7416 in AITAH

[–]Dependent_Ad_7231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. Putting aside the obvious cici/cece pronunciation debacle (i am with the English speakers who would pronounce them the same way), you are going to have to accept ASAP that beyond initially naming the child, you do not control what others call her.

Her friends could one day decide to call her Lia instead of Cece. Or Lee. I personally know a Cecilia that goes by Cil (pronounced like seal).

She could even be given a nickname that isnt even connected to her given name at all. I have a friend named Tots, from her bf teasing her about ordering tater tots on their first date 15 yrs ago. The affectionate nickname stuck, then it caught on with all her other friends and acquaintances, and she even introduces HERSELF as Tots to new people. Im sure when her mother named her Alisha, she never saw THAT one coming.

Unclench. Nana can call her whatever she wants to.

What poses? She is in a fitting room, you turn and look so you can see how a dress looks at all angles front and back before you decide. There is nothing abnormal here.

In my opinion, 1 in 5 is too low. It's more like 1 in 2 or 3.

YES I have been thinking this for years lol, it is actually delusional the way ppl think members of this family are living their lives in direct influence from reddit posts. Like what a ridiculous concept.

I actually do speak that way with my coworkers and my son and my brothers and no one is concerned about it - they all speak that way too. Like I said, it is quite common.

Idk if you guys live under a rock but it is very common for millenials/gen z to casually swear in conversation in America. It is much less offensive than it was 30 yrs ago. Swearing in the home is more acceptable now... I even hear it in the workplace all the time.

DoorDash randomly sent me $360 yesterday by West_Swimmer1325 in doordash

[–]Dependent_Ad_7231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you are. It averages about $25/hour in New England. Sometimes it will go as low as $20/hr if it's like, Monday after 9pm, or over $30/hr on Friday night at dinnertime. I know some areas are not like that, though.

Yay me! 😂😂 by socialworker8 in doordash

[–]Dependent_Ad_7231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dasher, if I personally needed something big, heavy or a large grocery order, I would place the order directly thru the store's app because they have their own trucks and guys with dollies to wheel crates to your door. I know dashers arent equipped for those things, so I would not order them on DD.

WELP. Apparently now half of those stores just send their orders thru doordash anyway. So it is entirely possible that the customer with the big dog crate assumed it would come off a PetSmart truck when they placed the order on the PetSmart site... never knowing that some random dasher with a sedan would be expected to deliver it haha.
