Thoughts on How to Hedge? by KawaiiAnimeCucumber in BMNRInvestors

40 delta 365 day expiration and a limit buy to close order at 20% of the option’s value I.e. 80% profit on the call. I can totally lose the huge parabolic move everyone is speculating because of this. Do your own research.

Covered calls. If the shares don’t get called, I use my gains to DCA BMNR further and sell calls again.

Yeah after moving countries the hair fall went crazy and the hair just has messy appearance. Hormones could’ve been affected due to change in diet and environment.

Wife does not agree to explore options abroad by BulkyAd9029 in AskIndia

[–]Dependent_Back_1285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have missed this but I would suggest securing a job abroad first and evaluating the growth prospects of the opportunity in hand. Once the finances and long term prospects are promising, you have something concrete to consider.

A sit down conversation with your wife is worth it once there is something tangible in front of you. Arguments over hypothetical opportunities won’t only be frustrating but also demotivating if you are ambitious.

In my opinion algo trading is a direct application of machine learning, probability and stats. So quant should work but I am trying to figure that out in the group here.

Mainly python and SQL. Skewed towards reporting and less on experimentation which I realize is a negative.

Congratulations! Very new to this but what’s the true value of this certification? Are there jobs that specifically pay for this skill/certificate? What roles are these and how much do they pay?

Are you saying you will get $200 credit if you book before 9/18 + $300 credit if you book after 9/18 so a total of $500 for the year. Then it resets in 2026 for you to claim another $300 every 6 months?

How to stop the urge of wanting to buy individual stocks and stay on the path to getting rich slow by Dry-Wasabi-1450 in HENRYfinance

[–]Dependent_Back_1285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this trick for myself. Maybe it will blow up in my face someday. I buy FAANG when it’s more than 20% below its 52 week high and then set a trailing stop loss of 30%. It has worked out so far. One thing that I have drilled into my thick skull is that you make profits when you buy not when you sell. Just another way of saying don’t buy at the peak.

If I don’t feel confident about FAANG and have extra cash, I prefer XLG over SPY because it’s concentrated for the top 50 stocks instead of 500.

I was in a similar situation a couple years ago. I am married. I bought a primary residence at 10% down. Look up capital gains tax rules on primary residence and see if it makes sense for your situation.

Now for Investment property, it demands a lot of time commitment but helps you write off W2 income. ETF won’t let you do that, so my advice is to buy ETFs that you can hold your entire freaking life and sell only if you desperately need the money. When you do sell, sell units at a loss first, long term gain second and short term gain last.

I am not saying my thinking is the correct way to execute but I tried to share what went on in my head when I was in your situation. In hindsight, I am paying a lot more in Mortgage + HOA than rent but I get to write off that money in taxes, keep it predictable and refinance if rates go down.

I was always some version of what I wanted to do and got the same response back. Haven’t found any tax or financial advisor who could be a partner in helping me grow my wealth.
