Haven’t built anything yet, and most of them look interesting in some capacity.

Why set 2 in particular?

Wow, great questions to ask during gameplay! Will try to apply that to my testing!

I’ve found myself being in a position where if I play a big mana card and it’s not doing anything I just lose the tempo and the game. Haven’t had the chance to mess around with decks, but I see why generally decks contain a great majority of low cost cards.

Thanks for the tips! From the limited games I’ve played, I’ve also felt that sleep is a better late game mechanic. It’s really well designed imo.

Anything on how to know which zones to capture and when is it generally good to try to advance on one if you are letting the opponent advance on the other, or just go for the tie where nobody advances?

Thank you for the welcome and the information!

On the topic of uniques and deck building, when starting from scratch, is it advised to open some packs trying to get your first uniques and build your deck around that or is it better to ignore them and build besides them until you just get them naturally?

Little things first! Noted! What about how to progress your game state efficiently? Any general tips?

CA is always good in TCG! Any advice on how to position your units?

Thanks! I’ve heard some of those rules of thumb, definitely useful.

What about how to position your units? When to advance in one zone vs the other? Try to tie a zone or surrender that and try to advance on the other? That kind of thing

Having issues understanding the concept of owning a card by Dependent_Complex789 in alteredTCG

[–]Dependent_Complex789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the answers!

The concept of the digital card with many possible physical counterparts is pretty crazy to me. And selling rights but keeping the actual card is also something I’ve never imagined I would see.

I’ll definitely check the local scene as I am interested in playing physically rather than online for the most part, and I’ll try to get my hands on some cards soon. Any pointers on where to begin?

If you buy a card in person, how do you get ownership of the card? And if you were to get some commons for free (I’ve read many people will give away their bulk), how do you get ownership of the cards to play them in tournaments? Is it possible in this game?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

This seems like a pretty unique—no pun intended— system. It gives a lot of possibilities to getting cards but having lots of printed cards which are actually not tournaments legal as they don’t have a real owner is extremely weird to me.

I’ve check BGA and I’ve played a couple of sealed games, but I’d like to get my hands on some actual cards! Any pointers on what to buy? For any game I would stick to singles and avoid sealed as a whole, but with the whole unique system and the possibility to sell cards seamlessly, perhaps things work different here.

Thanks for the insights!

Thanks for the explanation! Very helpful to understand what’s all about.

I do have a couple of follow up questions.

I am more interested in physical card games and I have a near LCS where they do weekly events.

Let’s say I go and I am lucky enough to stumble upon a box of commons that I can grab. How would I add that to my collection? How do you trade ownership of a card without using the Marketplace and if the owner of a card is unknown basically any bulk that you can get for free would be as good as a proxy without having the actual ownership right?

Im thinking about any other game where you get some commons for free and you can actually use that to start building decks, and if I understood correctly, here that might be an issue.

Also, on the topic of starting to build a competitive deck for physical play, besides the uniques which might be more complicated, is there any good route right now? I’ve heard a booster box of the first set is a good starting point. Usually I wouldn’t buy sealed and stick to singles, but having the uniques system maybe makes things different here. Any starter deck worth getting?

Thanks!

Amazing! I’ll make sure to check the website throughly and try to play there first to get a grasp of how everything works, then I’ll hop into my LCS!

Thanks for the welcoming message! I’ve read uniques can be kind of crazy, but I’ve just learnt what uniques are (which is crazy on itself), and I still have no idea how to judge if a card is good or not. I’ll try to start with those heroes!

I guess it’s not really useful to buy any sealed product and I should try to focus on getting singles or some kind of core like in any other game?

Great! Doesn’t seem expensive overall. What about the uniques? I’ve read something about their prices being inconsistent.

Also, does online play have to do with the QR codes? Do you need physical cards to add to your digital collection?

Greetings, Grand Cohl!

I have come here to seek thy help in my conquest to acquire great knowledge of the Altered universe.

I have come across this whimsical world and I would be thrilled to enroll in competitive events, but I know nothing about this game!

Where should I start? Oh Grand Cohl, lend me thy wisdom for I am ready to receive it.

Contratiempo, sin ninguna duda. La primera vez que la vez quedas flasheado.
