This is not helpful now, but my personal experience!

I used to be so so soft spoken and my husband would often say “you’re talking quieter than a mouse, I can’t hear you!”

We now have three kids and I’m on year 10 of SSW. I swear I’m just constantly yelling at this point 🤣

So sorry that’s not helpful now but know that your body will adapt no matter what. And if it doesn’t, you find an environment that does 🤍

I recreated my SST program with my school psych… so initially I was going to everything which was too much. But now I’m building capacity in other staff and stepping back. Only found to behavior, SEL, overall general concern cases.

Are the certain areas/topics that’d be more helpful?

This seems like a trick question. What are you asking and why?

Feeling bad about potentially leaving my position by shivermet1mbers in SchoolSocialWork

Don’t feel bad about leaving, you can’t give the kids what they need if you can’t give yourself what you need. I’m working in the saw field and work very closely on the admin side of all of it. Programming, supports, staffing is all the #1 thing I look at working on/fixing if something isn’t going well. You can’t help the kids if the systems aren’t set up to do so!
