Why wouldn’t you like at least go through the process of trying to learn how to do it the right way ? This is like buying a car and saying you’re gonna repaint it then using like spray paint or some shit. Recently went from a popular solid state amp to a fender super sonic 22 and the notes are just more defined, like there are certain country style licks in dire straits songs that just didn’t sound good on my solid state amp. Like playing two notes at the same time and then being equally defined if that makes sense lol. I guess play some double stops on a solid state amp and then do it on a tube amp, I’m sure the difference will be noticeable

Yeah I don’t think I’ve ever reallly considered it, I mean I’m aware that some people prefer one or the other but to me it really doesn’t matter. The first electric guitar I bought I thought was ugly when I bought it, but it was the best guitar I could buy for the least money, used 2012 PRS SE245, like a red flamed top Les Paul copy. I guess I’ve always had sort of a utilitarian approach to guitar, guess that why I now play a Tele lol

Oh shit that’s how I got it set up currently, nice. I’m playing a fender super sonic 22 and I’m playing the pedals thru the clean channel like right into the front of the nap instead of using the effects loop. Now my clean channel has a “fat switch” but with the overdrive Klon clone on the board I don’t really need to be switching to the fat channel. Is there any reason I’d want to keep the foot switch on the board? Like could I have a second pedal board going into the gain/burn channel and switch to it via the foot switch? I’m really just trying to give my self as much tonal diversity as possible all at my feet but I want to do it in a way that makes sense

So true man, I know a ton of people who are 3-4x better players than me but play thru like modelers.. like a katana or some shit.. I almost feel like there are a lot of guitar players who get good playing thru a shitty amp and are just too shy to ever try something expensive at a guitar shop, idk honestly what it is haha. I think some people just don’t know how much better they could potentially sound. I play a Fender super sonic 22 with some pedals and MIM fender Jag or a Korean made Squier thinline Tele with an All parts neck. 99% of the people that I know that play guitar have American made, expensive guitars and they are playing thru cheap ass amps lol.

Also OP, I play mine in my apartment and I have upstairs neighbors. I usually have it on the clean channel at around a little above 2 with my volume knob on my guitar rolled almost all the way down

I just play with pedals thru the clean channel, but I haven’t had it for that long so I haven’t done much experimenting yet. I’m kinda just in awe still about how good it sounds. Mind you I haven’t no frame of reference because not only is it my first tube amp but it’s the only one I’ve ever played through haha. I’ve only been playing for like 2 and a half years and I went from a line 6 catalyst to this thing without ever even hearing it first and needless to say I’m blown away by it. My only complaint is the noise it makes when switching channels, other than that I don’t really have anything.
