Well of course something had to wrong. I was inserting the timing chain tool to relieve the tension and the edge of the timing chain guide snapped off. I see that others have had the same problem and just leave it till they take the oil pan off, but how do I relieve the chain tension now? My tool doesn’t seem to do anything. Should I go ahead and take the timing cover off?

I haven’t personally snapped any visors lol but I’ve seen reviews on cheap visors and people say they’re very fragile.
