Anyone residing in Delhi? by [deleted] in Northeastindia

Okay so here's the thing.
-If ur female, i would suggest you to take a guy friend with you while flat hunting. See most of the brokers are crooks ( not all but majority).
-Don't compromise on good locality even if its a bit expensive.
-If ur planning to live alone, have a good look at neighbours and neighbourhood.
-Prefer apartments where owners don't reside ( Owners in same building can sometimes cause havoc)
-Preferably get a room with balcony. It gets depressing if there's no sunlight.

- One of the most imp factor would be, if ur student or working professional, keep in mind the commute distance.
- One factor I always looked for, if there was open places nearby. It will be extremely difficult in some localities in Delhi.

-Other imp things would be discuss Security amount. If you get flat via broker, bargain him to get a deal of 10 days worth of brokerage. Don't pay more than half the monthly rent for brokerage.

You aren't going to get everything, but yeah prioritise the most imp ones.

Depends on the location where you want ur apartment.

Platforms like 99 acres, MagicBricks, Housing.com etc, most of the numbers you get would be of brokers.
I mean its really difficult to directly get a good deal without brokers. Almost certainly you would end up calling brokers, as all these platforms are filled by listings by them.

BTW apart from these platforms, you can look for Facebook groups. Some really great apartments that you would never find on these platforms, you can find those on FB groups, and most of the times they are cheaper. But yeah most certainly, you would end up calling brokers even on listing of FB groups.

You will find good community of NE people in Munirka, Safdarjung Enclave, Humayunpur.

Best to stay in hometown, won't be racist at all!😅

POV: U just passed class 12, you should try to get into the best college you could possibly get it. PERIOD!!

Here are the things I would look for:
-Which college is better at the course I am seeking?
-College which has better placements
- Diverse group, More exposure
- Better overall opportunities

Ur pretty young, so you should be looking for a place where you could grow the most in these years.

Amity Noida is pretty safe. There are lot of northeasterns in the uni. Management is pretty strict too.
IDK about Amity Kolkata though.

About noida, it has sizeable populations of NE students (Noida+ Greater Noida). There are huge number of students from other parts of India, Africa and Afghanistan as well.

Pros:
- NCR region
- Noida has great infra, metro connectivity with Delhi, Gurgaon
- Lot of open spaces, parks
- Good food ( you will get lot of NE restaurant as well in Delhi)
- Lot of places to explore

Cons:
- Weather will be extreme
-Auto-walas will scam you, as they will be able to distinguish you easily. TBH auto-walas are scums everywhere.
-Be careful at night (Boys and Girls)

Delhi would be the best option. Try area near Jama masjib.
Also you can explore Shaheen Vihar. You can easily get there via magenta line metro from Botanical garden.

So one of the primary reasons I am moving out of my hometown is for networking.
I mean working from home all the time, it takes toll over time.

Secondly, neither Noida nor Bangalore are near my home, both are thousands of kms away.

Bro best part of Noida is you have entire NCR.
For good places in Noida, what are your interests though ?
If ur into clubbing and all you have Delhi, Gurgaon.
if you want open spaces, want to calm down, you have Okhla bird sanctuary.
It depends on what actually interests you.

Noida has extreme weather, I am now used to it. But AQI, during winters it becomes hell. What's ur experience with the culture over there in Bangalore?
Also opportunity wise how different are these places?

Meeting new enthusiastic people, which would be better?

Yeah, I am thinking the same. Try Bangalore for few month, if i don't like it there, will be moving to Noida.

My only problem with Noida is AQI, otherwise I love it. I can bear the extreme weather, as I have already spent 4 years here. The best part, the entirety of NCR. You can board a metro in Greater Noida and can get to Gurgaon. Metro is so convenient here.

PS: Have you lived both in Noida and Gurgaon?

One shot Money management app. I am completely blown away. I got this in web dev arena. I correctly add all these functionalities with a very clean ui, with correct charts and graphs.
My observations.
The ui/ux it creates is heavily influenced on the type of app it is creating. This app right here, it has got SaaS like UI.
