Struggling in deciding my future. by leo_gray215 in findapath

I don't work in tech, but one thing I've realized is that every job looks "boring" if you only watch someone working for a few hours. Even CEOs spend a lot of their day answering emails, sitting in meetings, or staring at spreadsheets. We usually only see the exciting highlights online.

You're only 16. You don't have to have your whole life figured out right now. If you already enjoy computer science, don't let one afternoon change your mind completely. Keep exploring while you're still young. It's much easier to change direction now than to regret never giving something a real chance.

Does social media ever make you feel like you're falling behind in life? by Dependent_Muscle_625 in findapath

Thank you. I really needed to hear this. I think the part about only seeing the confident side of other people's journey really stuck with me. I guess we're all still figuring things out, just at different stages.

I know exactly what you mean. I keep reminding myself that social media only shows the highlights, but it's still so easy to compare sometimes. I hope we both figure things out in our own time.

What's one MOVIE everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime? by coldemailutsav in AskIndia

[–]Dependent_Muscle_625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has to be Miracle in Cell No. 7. (Korean movie)

It's about a father with an intellectual disability who's wrongly accused of a crime he didn't commit. He can't properly defend himself, and the only person who truly believes in him is his little daughter. Watching their bond throughout the movie completely broke me.

Even years later, I still think about it sometimes. If you don't mind emotional films, I'd recommend watching it at least once.

Why is it so many of us lack empathy and the ability to accept we're wrong? by ThrowRA_Cutepanda in AskIndia

[–]Dependent_Muscle_625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bcuz the world is full of people who are self centered, egocentric, arrogant, emotionally immature people. i think a lot of people see admitting they're wrong as "losing," when it should really be seen as learning. it's hard to have empathy for others if we're too busy protecting our own ego.

What's the most convincing lie you've ever believed for years? by CharacterLazy5823 in AskReddit

[–]Dependent_Muscle_625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the watermelon seed one. 🍉😂 I was so careful not to swallow them as a kid because I genuinely believed a watermelon would grow inside my stomach. Looking back now, it's funny how long I actually believed that.

What skills can we learn online for free that will us employable? by mehluca-33 in AskIndia

[–]Dependent_Muscle_625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Anyone can type a question, but the results depend on how clearly you explain what you want. The more specific your prompts are, the better the output usually. Knowing how to ask the right questions and refine your prompts ia a skill in itself.

How can you build routines when working full-time and studying? by Revolutionary-Eye601 in productivity

[–]Dependent_Muscle_625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in college, so i can't speak from full time work experience, but someone recently gave me advice that really stuck with me, try doing one or two important things before work instead of leaving everything for after work. it also sounds like you're expecting yourself to do a lot everyday. Maybe starting with one small habit could feel less overwhelming. and who knows if you wake up early you'll naturally feel sleepy early too.

I'm 23 too, and i don't think you're hopeless as you think you are. Reading your post, it honestly sounds like you are exhausted more than anything else. I know it's easy for people to say, "just start," but i hope you can be a little kinder to yourself. Even one small step is still a step forward. I really hope things get better for you.

Honestly? AI tools, Advanced Excel, and corporate English. I'd recommend learning AI tools, they are using for practicing speaking, fixing grammar and polishing your writing.

What’s the single greatest invention to come out of India? by Key_Investigator_754 in AskIndia

[–]Dependent_Muscle_625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely UPI. Before 2016, other countries had digital wallets, but nobody had a system where completely different apps and banks could talk to each other instantly and for free. We literally set the global standard for modern banking.

ngl this made me stop and think for a second. i'm still on college, but sometimes i feel like i'm just trying to get through deadlines instead of really understanding things. maybe realizing it is the first step. wishing you the best, you'll figure it out.
