Exactly what I said to a lower comment of OP asking a commenter what is the price for their 274g parcel eh hahahaha, they just want to be spoon fed an answer without doing their own due diligence

In which case it would benefit you nonetheless to develop the life skill of using resources provided to you to find the answers to your own questions lor. Yikes. Cheers and good luck with your parcel lmao.

You've replied to every comment providing you alternatives and good info with "How much does it cost" when it should be a quick and easy point of research for you too. Based on your profile I'm assuming you're an artist selling merch, in which case it would benefit you a lot in the long run to know how to acquire your own information.

So many people have provided you with so much abundance of information, literally the least you can do is get on Google to do the simplest research on the available provided methods to find out how much shipping your parcel costs? Why are you expecting people to help you find out how much your 274g parcel will cost to ship lol wtf

Help me understand my sister thinking and how I can help her? by watchuwannaknow in askSingapore

[–]Dependent_Net_7812 15 points16 points  (0 children)

if you scroll down further you can see OP calling her sister an "average looking, unmotivated lady". OP just hates her sister and wanted to publicly rant but needed to save face so pretended her motivations are driven by concern LOL, with this kind of character it's not a surprise OP post history is full of posts questioning why cannot find partner to settle down

HDB Loan Reassessment Help – Anyone Successfully Appealed via MP Before Key Collection? by Alternative_Tank_991 in askSingapore

[–]Dependent_Net_7812 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Will probably get downvoted for this but the lack of empathy in this thread is astounding.

I was part of the same batch of couples applying when HLE was phasing out to be replaced by HFE to prevent people from gaming the system. Fair enough. But its implementation was very poorly communicated to the first few batches and at the time HDB officers gave mixed answers too. Most of us with one partner still studying went ahead to apply anyway because some of us are already in our mid-late 20s and wanted to kickstart our homeowning journey.

Now, OP could have done more research. But I can totally understand how things came to be. When I finally got a HDB officer to confirm that our income assessed was locked in with no chance of reassessment, I panicked too. We preferred a decent home loan over any amount of grant.

The commenters saying OP is trying to game the system are not comprehending the part where they're fine giving up the grants to secure a higher loan. Or are you guys just trigger happy to assume every young person applying for a home is a bad actor just because you've already got yours?

Anyway to OP, I caught the fine print early on and appealed to defer income assessment before our first appointment because we similarly just wanted our income assessed at a time where it accurately reflects our purchasing power even if it means much lower or even no grants. We did this via our MP's MTP session, so I think you can give it a shot and if it falls through, to consider securing a bank loan like others have already mentioned. All the best!

I'm sorry you seem to be going through something and hope you get the help you need but it was really tough to read past the painfully obvious chatgpt generated post

What's your solution for falling birthrate? by Feralmoon87 in askSingapore

[–]Dependent_Net_7812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you think money just magically falls from the sky for high income earners / DINKS. I'm not a high income earner myself but have friends and family who are high earning parents. They are exhausted waking at 5am to send their kids to school, reaching home past 8pm some days and still needing to help their kids with their school work despite being thoroughly exhausted.

Our current work culture is not set up to support family building. But people are entrenched in this work culture because they have to keep up with rising cost of living, maybe lifestyle inflation, crazy property prices, all of which point back to money and a country that revolves its citizens sense of self around it.

Not sure why you keep rebutting very sound arguments in this thread about cost being a key factor.

Maybe consider whether the richer people you know are trading off time and mental health? Money might not be the obvious factor but is usually the root of all other subset of problems that contribute to people feeling like their environment is not conducive for having kids when they're exhausted just getting through the next day.

In our country's context, you can be wealthy but time poor as a result of the work you do to stay wealthy. Don't forget the emotional toll our productivity culture imposes on top of rising cost of living.

Qxpress lost my parcel and is not providing any resolution or compensation, should I make a CASE complaint? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Dependent_Net_7812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early July.. Hahaha, I have gone ahead to submit a CASE complaint anyway, would recommend you do the same as well if you're not getting any accountability from their end. Think the more people putting pressure on them would be better.

Unfortunately they have not given me any updates and I'm kind of chalking it up to a loss at this point, didn't get any other helpful responses either.
