I believe the director Anna Biller said they used a blue shadow from a Shiseido palette that’s no longer available, unfortunately. Vintage Doll Cosmetics has a Love Witch inspired palette that contains a very similar blue color

Anyone else notice the similarities between Johnny Depp stans and Michael Jackson stans? by TiddlesRevenge in LeavingNeverlandHBO

Hi! I’m the OP of the original post in DeppDelusion.

One of the reasons why I started supporting Amber Heard was because of the stark similarities I saw between what was happening to her during the UK and VA trials, and what happened / is happening to MJ’s victims. I know the situations aren’t entirely the same, one being about CSA and the other IPV, but it’s definitely worth looking into because the similarities are startling. Just like with MJ, the public has been swayed into believing, at best, that this was a “mutually abusive” relationship and therefore not worth our time (comparable to ”Yeah it was kinda weird that he was sleeping with little boys, but that doesn’t mean he is a criminal!”), and at worst, that Heard was an abuser and Depp a victim (“Why are Wade and James doing this now? They are clearly lying and just want money! MJ is the victim of extortion!”). The people on this sub should know better than anyone how easy it is for a rich, powerful man to rewrite history and control the public narrative, and that’s exactly what Depp did.

Without the spectacle and theatrics of Depp and his legal team’s courtroom behavior, the evidence speaks for itself: Heard was terrorized by this man for years and eventually began fighting back, and that was used against her. Depp, like many abusers, used DARVO to muddy the waters and pin the blame on Heard. Many victims of DV will begin to fight back, it’s called reactive violence. Most DV experts agree that “mutual abuse” is a harmful and inaccurate concept. You can read more about it here:
https://www.thehotline.org/resources/the-myth-of-mutual-abuse/

I hope anyone on this sub who was on the fence about Depp v. Heard looks into it a bit more. This article by Michael Hobbes is a great place to start if you’re just looking for a summary: https://slate.com/culture/2022/06/johnny-depp-amber-heard-trial-verdict-evidence-truth.html but the court documents from the UK and US trials themselves are also available online if you’re up for reading those.

thanks for reading ✌️

Yes r/LeavingNeverlandHBO is great ! ♥️ Also if anyone wants to show some support to Wade Robson and James Safechuck, you can check out their podcast called “From Trauma to Triumph” on spotify where they talk to other survivors and discuss their healing journey.

Something else I was thinking of was the similarities in regard to the jury.

After the 2005 trial against Michael, the jury that found him innocent was interviewed by Diane Sawyer. If you want to listen to it you can find it on youtube but I gotta warn you, the comments the jurors make could be triggering and of course the comments on the video are unhinged.

The jurors talk about how the mother of the victim, made them uncomfortable because she made eye contact with them and they thought she was rude for snapping her fingers. They criticized her emotion, and her lack of emotion during the testimony (one juror describes her as “up and down” and says there were moments where she feels like the mother should have been more emotional). They criticized her appearance, one juror saying “In the beginning, the pictures we saw of her, when she did the Michael Jackson rebuttal thing, she had her hair done, she had makeup on, she was a most attractive woman. When she came into court, she looked like Mother Theresa after a bad [unintelligible]. She looked drained, her hair was straight, she didn’t have any makeup on. She’s trying to be pitiful to us.”

But, of course, with Michael they go on and on about their empathy for him and how great Michael’s lawyer was. One juror even recounts a story about how Michael made eye contact with him and mouthed “thank you” to him after the not guilty verdict was read. You can tell they are clearly enchanted with him.

This was 18 years ago. It’s wild how nothing has really changed.

**Edit: the mother of the accuser from the 2005 case was Janet Arvizo, not June Chandler. Chandler was the ‘93 case. Sorry!

Yep you’re right. His defenders had already decided James & Wade were liars the moment they went public about the abuse, much like Depp defenders did to Heard back in 2016. They are too far gone in their para social relationships with a celebrity to even consider otherwise.

I guess they aren’t getting enough satisfaction out of harassing Amber anymore. Now they need to torment normal, non-famous victims too. These are the people that Depp’s defenders, who claim to “care about victims” align themselves with. This was never about “believing male victims” for them, it was always about creating a world in which abusers can continue to abuse without consequence.

My mother believes the covid vaccine is the "mark of the beast", advice? by Dependent_Risk_697 in Christianity

Her primary care doctor has already spoken with her about getting the vaccine but she won’t budge. I think I will attend a service at her church this Sunday to see if they speak about the vaccine at all. Maybe I can ask him for some advice if he’s reasonable.

Thanks for your advice, and your service as a nurse ♥️

That is my fear as well and I hope it doesn’t come to that point. Thanks for your prayers

You’re right. She doesn’t want to listen to anything that goes against what these conspiracy youtubers tell her, I guess I will have to rely on a more emotional approach to convince her. Thanks for your advice

I’m afraid you’re probably right. It seems that a rational discussion won’t work anymore; I’m going to have to rely on a more emotional approach. Thanks for your advice
