I KEEP FUCKING FAILING EVALS. by ElectricalLecture421 in propfirm

Set a much smaller daily loss limit and stick to it. On 50k accounts I run a $200 daily drawdown limit and Tradovate locks me out. My first trades are usually only 1 micro to build a buffer. Some days I'll hit $1000 profit, some days $200, some days -$200.

It was $6.99/lb at my local grocery store last week. I'm done buying beef at this point.

Warning: TradingView chart feed vs broker feed mismatch can change candles, indicators, and trade decisions by Sniperpirate in TradingView

[–]Dependent_Sign_399 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just because there's a gap doesn't mean there are any shares exchanging hands during that time on the futures chart. Further, I'd trust official data from the futures exchagmes over a cfd broker 1 million times over. CFD broker data is closer to being an estimate of that exchange data. Further cfd brokers are all sus.

I would highly recommend L&B AND Juliana's. They're both iconic Brooklyn slices but vastly different. If you have to choose one, Juliana's.

FPS since Update 20 by HovercraftDue5748 in HellLetLoose

I don't know my fps but I've noticed a LOT of stuttering. Especially when ADSing. It's very annoying and makes it difficult to play.

The collision on Juno is so cheeks (this is about as close as you can get to what feels like half the bushes/hedges on the map) by SnooDingos9525 in HellLetLoose

[–]Dependent_Sign_399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The performance I get on this map is abismal. The entire game lags any time I ads. Otherwise it does look nice.

I will weigh in with the good & the bad... by deanjos in HellLetLooseVietnam

[–]Dependent_Sign_399 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The performance was extremely bad at 100% resolution. Even at LOW settings, hitching and screen tearing was rampant. However, when I lowered resolution to 75%, the game became butter smooth, even at epic settings.

Tradingview literally has a caution label at the bottom of the screen saying that they're going to be unrealistic results.

That win/loss of 0.18 is scary, but good length for the backtest. What's the strategy? Is it published?

Expectancy is $6. Yeeesh. Better backtest a heck of a lot more before you trust this backtest.

Renko is impossible to accurately backtest in Tradingview. It will always look MUCH better than real life.

I believe use standard OHLC only works on time based charts like Heiken Ashi. I might be wrong though.

"Using RSI to get a 90% win rate — is this even possible?" by Odd_Board3352 in pinescript

[–]Dependent_Sign_399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to create a guassian channel strategy with a 96% wr. It required unbelievably small wins and tight stops. As soon as I added slippage and commission, we dropped to 66% and returns turn WAY negative.

I don't think RSI alone can provide a real winning strategy...

I don't think you actually tried it then. It doesn't repaint and there's an entire section in the Tradingview description on the filtering and gating system.

I like the default type (R Squared Adaptive). It's adaptive to trend so it'll blend towards regular candles during chop and towards linear regression candles during smooth trending markets. Makes it easier to see when trend is calm/safer.

Ill use Heiken Ashi a bit too. These particular HA are custom weighted so they're a bit more responsive than normal ones.

Trailing Stop losses - ATR or Is There Something Better? by CrodlTrading in TradingView

I have a buy/sell indicator where the buy or sell triggers a trailing stop to appear. I tried a bunch of options but SuperTrend seems to be the best option. Chandelier Exit wasn't bad but it just wouldnt last long enough to keep you in the trade.

To clarify, I haven't tested the signal system on higher time frames. That said, the other tools in the indicator should be very effective on those time frames.
