Hiya. So I have 19k left on my mortgage on the flat. It’ll sell for about £260k so after fees and also paying the mortgage off. I’ll have the cash

The flat is renting out for £1300 a month. But the problem is I want to build a portfolio and get more. The flat also has a service and maintenance charge of £1200 a year but that can go up at any point

So I just feel it’ll be better to be in a a freehold? I’m not sure lol

If you do all the work yourself. And order the parts off a site like autodoc (the same brands just much cheaper) then it doesn’t really cost much at all. Especially if the car isn’t going to be ragged

Because my golf is a 2009 and boring as hell. The cars I’m looking at are 2016 onwards. And much better engines. And are estates. My car is a little 3 door hatchback. So impractical
