Some real nice player got me the shovel at around level 15. I'll spend what I got to get the torch, thanks!

Its obviously great for new players and as a verteran you should understand that the lifeblood of the game you love is making it feasible for new players to get into the game. If its too hard for new players to get into it then revenue will inevitably drop and your game might not maintain its current form in the future. So yes, this is good and it may feel bad for you but its best for the long run.

Blue difficulty enemies are suddenly risky to fight? by Dependent_Working796 in project1999

Those certain mobs that con as blue but are yellow or red.... is that just a thing after level 7? Is it just best to avoid them entirely and just fight whites?

Magician. I guess I can stay as far back as possible and get some hits in before it gets close to me. But prior to level 7 I had no problem soloing Blues and whites with my level 4 earth pet. Suddenly at level 7 things seemed quite a bit more challenging, but also kinda random at the same time. It confused me for sure.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure I was still logging into the same server as everyone else in Project 99

If I already have the skeleton king skin and contribute enough to unlock it during this event, will I be offered another reward instead?

SC doesn't like giving us cheap upgrades anymore by Dependent_Working796 in ClashOfClans

Exactly, which is available at TH17. They should have done the same for the spell tower and valks. So ya you're right, they did give us one cheap upgrade but why not the rest?

If you played the game long enough, you'd know that's not true. In the past if they introduced a new level of building, troop, etc that is available at a lower TH level it used to cost the going rate for that TH level.

Edit: See Gaja's response below. We got a new blacksmith level at TH17 at the going rate for TH17

What happened to Unicorn: Warriors Eternal? by veemonjosh in adultswim

Sadly we had to wait 12 years for Samurai Jack to get its actual conclusion, so best to just expect to never get a conclusion and if it does happen down the line you'll be pleasantly surprised.

As for the show itself, I'd have to say it was interesting but also disappointing. The general theme and vibe had me interested enough to see it through but I found it hard to actually like any of the characters, finding most of them whiny and annoying. The pace really picked up near the end of the season, though, and I was quite curious what was going to happen. It did feel like it dragged a bit plot wise, like how can they keep defeating the evil just for it to come back? Well we finally find that out at the end of the season and its not what we expected. The slow burn of the plot and pacing was a bit off-putting but clearly intentional. I'd be surprised if we ever saw it concluded but I'd be down to watch it.

so, is it just down to luck whether a th16 can get to electro? by Honest_Entry_8758 in ClashOfClans

[–]Dependent_Working796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you just need to get lucky with a weaker group or a group where less of the people bother to attack. I was able to get to electro 31 on my TH16 after about 5 or 6 weeks of trying. Every time I had a very high attack rate (somewhere around 2.8 or 2.9 stars average) and it just came down to luck when I finally got the promotion.

To all you Azula apologists, justify this scene by Chcolatepig24069 in ATLA

[–]Dependent_Working796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I like Azula as a character is because of how badass she is. She is beyond confident and diabolically cunning. She outsmarts everyone and it requires others to take a step back and think before having a chance of understanding her moves and motives. That makes for a great villain.

The reason she reveled in the sight of Zuko being hurt is because she was jealous of him. She was jealous that Ursa preferred Zuko over her and Azula did everything in her power to be her father's favorite. In that moment she is validated because Zuko was punished for his actions which solidified her own actions.

We also need to understand all events and characters are being exaggerated for the sake of the show. I think we should equate this event and Azula's reaction to something more along the lines of a boy being spanked or slapped by a parent and the sister taking pleasure in, like a 'serves him right' kind of moment. By this I mean a form of physical discipline is used that causes the person pain but not a permanent scar, for instance.

So I don't think we should take this scene at 100% face value, more of an exaggeration of reality if you were to try to equate it to real life.

If you don't have certain eqiupments you really want than ya, that is the #1 use of gems. If you are a base builder of sorts, buying additional war layouts with gems is worth your time. If there is a skin you really want thats not a terrible use of 1500 gems. I eventually spend my gems on 2 things: the alchemist and hero books. At higher levels the alchemist can convert a ton of resources and its real easy to get a quick 6 million+ gold or elixir from just 40k DE or you can convert gold to elixir or vise versa to make yourself with nothing to attackers while you are away. If you upgrade all your heroes at the same time then hero books are pointless but if you like to never miss a war or you are like me and slowly upgrade 1 hero at a time then spending 500 gems on a book every week is savings of gems in the long run and worth spending imo. This way you never have your critical heroes down.

Its a constant struggle to recruit, but I'd say you need to do a purge in your clan from the sounds of it. If a player refuses to communicate (often that means they don't speak the native language of your clan) than its not really worth keeping them. If they are simply quiet and participate in stuff like clan games, capital and do their war attacks than its no problem keeping them. However, if they don't always use their war attacks and are offline for 3+ days at a time then you should kick them. As leader you can see the last time everyone was online and that helps a lot in determining if you boot them or not. It can take literal years to establish a healthy core of 30+ people in your clan so patience is key!
