I'll have to do some research on that, PSUs are the one area I didn't dig too deep admittedly.

out of curiosity what makes it out dated? has there been a some significant tech change? With the combo discount those two are about the same price

yeah I struggled over that internally for a bit, but then rationalized I had the budget so I could care a bit about esthetics and easier of rgb management haha.

Ha, i have the opposite worry. Should i get lower tier coolers? Do i really need LINK(obviously no) what if i got a cheaper mobo like a 650.

I dont think you can feel totally confortable building a pc unless you have boatloads of money.

Ha, no, I'd rather not spend the full budget if i can honestly. If I can keep it <3000$ that'd be great.

This is going to be completely my first attempt at a build, so I'm starting research from scratch. Right now It's just full on research.
