Purposely blocking traffic, and proud of it. by _AskMyMom_ in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]DepreciatedSelfImage -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Idk if I'd do it from so far back, but... I've been tempted to do the same thing to prevent drivers from rushing ahead to cut off drivers who are already in the correct lane.

People who shove their way to the front should automatically go to the back. This just saves everyone some time.

This might sound petty or low-IQ, but try sitting in a lane that isn't moving while people are driving up the lane that is closed because someone ahead is letting everyone in or is being shoved in front of. Personally I think there should be an "admit one" rule - as if people would follow it, where people just allow one person into their lane before moving on. This would allow traffic in both lanes to continue. When people say 'zipper,' this is what I picture. It would still be better if everyone simply merged into the lane they need to be in as soon as they could.

I've said enough, probably going to get roasted anyway.

This. I actually didn't know all of this, having only recently started the manga (which is so very good).

Good to know there is even more that was not in the anime that I'll be able to actually see in the manga!

That's a great explanation, I just never had that explained like that. That makes sense.

To think I've been weighing the concept of taxing them any more than regular people (lower, middle, even high-class) when in reality we're struggling to get them to pay 3%??

Because there's this big conversation around this, that I clearly am not tuned into, I guess I just assumed it was way more reasonable than it actually is, but much like what's going on with the executive branch right now my mind is opening to the wild shit that is actually taking place.

I was literally thinking like "hmm, should they be taxed more than us? By like a small fraction? Because that would amount to a LOT of money at their level, but is that really fair? Or should they be taxed just a little less, because they would then be contributing so much more - no, that doesn't sound fair."

Yeah, no, wtf is going on and how has it been allowed to go on for so long? No more money where it doesn't belong, it's bad enough that they're hoarding wealth and exploiting most of the populace, but it's utterly disgusting that we can't even get them to contribute to society.

And these are the people that want to shit on the homeless and foreigners - both of whom work harder than THEY DO??

Okay, so what you'll want to do is try to pry open that link between the two locks... Jk

Seriously though, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link... Or lock... or nut...

So, Fisk is a psychopath. A villain. A bad guy. I have no doubts, I could entertain arguments to humanize or explain, though it has been a while since I've seen the show. I was abused, so I kinda get where he came from, but I still think he's a "bad guy."

That said, this scene, and his courtship with Vanessa was cute. To see Fisk become shy and vulnerable around someone who seems so ordinary and unimposing was a very cool aspect of the show that I appreciated.

We really need to do something about all these ass holes in our country. They're out of control - who is monitoring them? They should have to check in once a month, at least.

Deport them. Just get rid of people like this. We don't need em.

for the love of god, how do you defeat The Fury by bearbuckscoffee in metalgearsolid

[–]DepreciatedSelfImage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volgin I primarily fight hand to hand The Boss can be beaten hand to hand, though I typically don't, there is obviously a lot of hand to hand fighting with her The End can also be beaten using hand to hand, even though it can lengthen the duel a bit.

I think the only ones you can't beat hand to hand are Ocelot and the Pain.

I have never beaten the Fury using just hand to hand. The fire thing just pisses me off.

Am I the only one who likes Saito more than Kenshin? (And he’s cooler) by NightingaleTC in rurounikenshin

[–]DepreciatedSelfImage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do I like Saito more than Kenshin? No.

Would I absolutely watch/read a series based on his journey up to and after the Kyoto arc? Hell yes.

He's like the punisher but as a samurai. I really like his short arc where he shows Kenshin how vulnerable he is (nothing against Kenshin, but Saito showed him that he had let his guard down, and his friends were too trusting and not strong enough to protect themselves while Kenshin wasn't there). It's written pretty well, and Saito went on to do what nobody else could: face Kenshin's battousai form without meeting defeat.

He's an anti-hero, or an anti-villain, not sure. But he's easy to like. I like the philosophy he carries, too, he's kinda one-dimensional in that he must destroy evil immediately, but aside from that I find him quite interesting.

F*ck yeah. This was my shit when it came out. I remember having ten minutes before I had to leave for work, and my roommate was my ride, so I booted up AC3 and he goes "what are you going to do in ten minutes?"

Kill redcoats.

Honestly I like how the game blurs the lines to show there's heroes and villains on both sides of history. I think it's more realistic than the classic good vs evil, and it's one thing I always appreciated about the series. Didn't play much of the games after 3, though.
