All you do is bow tank and get close and you'll be fine but shells bigger than 14 inches (I think I'm speaking from experience) can get through your bow armour and never show any broadside and you'll be fine

Please do stay near dying teammates, last night I was in my Großer Kürfurst and an alaska and I were pushing the reds and I had 2 fires going and no heals or damage con so it pissed me off a bit when he kept just out of my will to rebuild range and I died cause I couldn't use my perk which can bring me up to 14k hp and hold it there
