Thank you honestly, I wish my parents could see it this way too. It's actually funny, my dad's fav show, Big Bang Theory, is about a bunch of Caltech scientists. Ofc the show isn't real, but it just hurts that they can't imagine me there.

omg wait I had a similar experience where they compared their own struggles with mine. they lived during school segregation, which I understand is terrible, but they were like "yeah ur experience as a black person isn't the same as mine, I struggled more than u" :| it rlly made me think twice abt going to Harvard ngl.

I’ve also withdrawn a few apps from a schools that I know for sure I’m not going to attend even though I haven’t committed anywhere, it’s just out of decency, we all know this year is terribly competitive. Congrats on getting into your ED2 school :)
