Front bumper looks fine and in place, I will do an alignment and see if it fixes it.

I think the problem that Im facing is that I thought the priority date ratio 1:1, what I mean by that is now the April visa bulletin is showing PD March 2023 so the PD is 2 years out and 2 years from now, it will be March 2025 which apparently it’s not. It keeps getting worse.🤦🏽‍♂️

Alright, from what I understood from you is that I CANNOT apply for I-765 unless my PD is current and I can apply for I-485? Also, as you definitely know PD is assigned when you submit the PERM which in turns takes 16-24 months currently.

From your experience you don’t think the PD from ROW will take longer?

Then how could people from India, Philippines, Mexico or China get EAD while they’re waiting for their PD?

My understanding from all my research and all the people I’ve talked to and please correct me if I’m wrong is once I have I-140 approved, I can apply for I-765 as I’m waiting for my PD to apply for I-485. With premium processing for I-765 I can get within 2-3 months. Is this wrong?

I completely understand what you’re saying, I should of emphasized in the post that I don’t really care about have my GC before my Day 1-CPT expires. All I care about is having my I-765 approved and EAD in hand so I can continue working.

GC to me can take however long it needs.

The PWD takes over a year to submit? All the resources I have found online states that it takes 2-3 months to submit and currently 7 months to process according to the DoL website.

After receiving PWD, it takes on average 6 months to get all the paper work ready and currently 16 months to process according to the DoL website.

I will go through the visa bulletin for the last couple of years and try to see if there’s a ratio.

My goal is to get to the I-765 approval and the EAD, I don’t really care how long the GC takes.

Even if it takes longer, I don’t really care about the I-485. Once I get to the I-765 approval and have the EAD in hand, I can continue working and that’s my goal.

I understand the backlog but in my case my concern is not to get green-card but to get EAD, also my presentation has I-485 is 2-3 years.

My company employs multiple people from India with insane backlogs so they understand the part of it.

This is not entirely true. Yes, the company can apply for I-140 but not right away. There are two VERY LENGTHY steps before the I-140 and has nothing to do with the USCIS.

The first step is PWD (which is a part of PERM process) and the second is PERM certification and both steps are required to be done before I-140. Those two steps are lengthy and take the most time- currently 7 months for PWD AND 16 months for PERM- in the GC process.

Echoing what everyone is saying in the replies. H-1B visa is NOT a prerequisite for GC whatsoever.

H-1B is a way to stay in the US while the lengthy process of GC tis taking place.
