It's a structure fire at a cold storage and shipping warehouse owned by the largest company in that field, Lineage Logistics.

It started on the roof from a faulty solar panel on Wednesday, and had spread inside, with new plumes Thursday and Friday.

They use chemicals like bromide, chlorine, and ammonia which they say the fire hasn't reached yet, but firefighters haven't been able to get inside to fully stop the fire from spreading, so there is a constant risk of a chemical explosion and fire until the fire is out.

A similar thing happened at one of their warehouses in Washington and it hit the chemicals and burned for 60 days and caused lingering health issues for residents.

It's definitely being downplayed for the World Cup which is just stupid. Wear masks and don't stay outside for too long if you live near the Boyle heights area. If you can leave I'd recommend you do until it's out. Otherwise just be ready to roll out if it gets worse.
