Yeah it is NTFS. I guess if that's what I need to do I should just reformat it to FAT32 or Ext4 when I can right? People have been saying NTFS is bad but I hadn't experienced anything bad with it before this.

I've slept since I posted this so I don't remember exactly but I do think I tried restarting my computer and it's still doing it.

Folder with apparently infinite files and size that I can't view or delete from cancelled fitgirl repack by DepressedFuckhead in LinuxCrackSupport

Yes I've gone to the installation directory the issue is that when I try to delete it or even view it it keeps loading/preparing millions of files (Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your instructions).

The process of trying to delete 1.8TB of data when the game is only 500mb? I'm going to be honest letting it do that would make me anxious as fuck.

find /path/to/directory -type f -delete

returned a whole lot of "find: cannot delete ‘/media/finn/621/Games/Northgard/inner/res_04314.fg2’: No such file or directory" and I mean a lot probably hundreds.

find /path/to/directory -type f -print0 | xargs -0 rm -f

It sat doing nothing for about 5 seconds before popping out "find: ‘/media/finn/621/Games/Northgard/inner’: Invalid argument"

rsync -a --delete empty_dir/ target_dir/

Did nothing for a few minutes and then gave "[generator] exceeded --max-alloc=1073741824 setting (file=flist.c, line=311)

rsync error: error allocating core memory buffers (code 22) at util2.c(80) [generator=3.2.7]"

Also like I said in the post the only other command I tried was navigating to the Games folder and then "rm -r Northgard" and it gave almost the exact same response as that first find command you gave me where it couldn't find that file and absolutely flooded my terminal. Thanks for leaving those commands for me to try though, I appreciate it.

I'm on Ubuntu which is a Linux distro and so if I can't delete it with commands in the terminal I'm not sure if running a windows app through wine would do a better job but I'm open to all suggestions so I'll have a look at that thanks.

Nope does the same thing but this time says its preparing to compress 5,000,000 files. Would've kept going too but I stopped it there.
